How long did it stayed polished ? Looking to do this on my daily driver

Very nice mine has a little rust on it too, do you suggest something else on top like Harpic?
I think keeping it clean should be enough, I don't ride in rain or mud so it will stay clean for a while...
So i used polisher similar to this, made it sparkling ✨. Took it for a ride and came back and now my pipes are “blue” .. kinda like it got toasted or burnt. How do i fix this?

You can use WD40 every few weeks to keep it shiny and seasoned! Just like cast iron!!

what's an alternative for belt? can I use scotchbrite or sandpaper? I don't have that exact belt.
Even long piece of rag would work...
Alternatively use steel wool . Grades fine to medium
