when i read that she was working with einar egils and eydís evensen for the video i already knew the aesthetics of it. brilliant work! eydís evensen is also a phenomenal composer. the new album is going to be dark and very wonderful!

From Germany - Faun and from Canada - Loreena McKennit. Both use very diverse and old instruments and combine different cultural influences in their music. Of course, I'm also looking forward to Eivør`s new album.🙂

What a cool, heavy sound, I love her highs over all that bass! Eivor has really added another dimension to her sound. She did say that her Last Kingdom experience with John Lunn really made an impact on her new music. This album, when it's finally released in June is going to be amazing. Eivør says this is about getting back to being close the the Earth after all our greed and destruction.
I love love this song so very much. The light show reminds me of what the Ocean looks like with sunlight coming down in dark deep places for divers.

Nice reaction. It is a beautiful slightly sombre and trance inducing song showing off some of Eivør's operatic voice and lower range. The video is also beautiful.
Having seen a few reactions now I do wonder if Eivør named it Jarðartrá for a laugh seeing poor English speakers trying to pronounce the song name.
