Great outcome! Cutting staves accurately by any of the several methods out there can be very difficult. In our shop, we dedicate a miter saw to make a certain shape stave bowl, spend time with scrap wood dialing in the settings, and then don't adjust the saw until we want to make a different shape. Search on "Making a Tulipwood Stave Bowl" here on CZcams for our technique.

How do you figure the angles? It is a beautiful piece of art. You are a combination of a mathematician and an artist.

What do you add to the bees wax to get it soft?
I only added beeswax twice
Nice work .I want to ask some lathes that are 250w have enough power?
I think to turn something this size you'd need a motor with at least 1HP. (roughly 750W). I'm not an expert, though, so I could be wrong.

@@apostoloskokalis3431 I have a Craftex CX814, which is 1HP. Yes, a more powerful lathe can do small jobs. Think of it like a large transport truck compared to a pickup truck. Both can easily pull a small boat on a trailer, but the pickup truck will be extremely hard-pressed to safely pull a 20m long trailer loaded with many tonnes of cargo.
Things went off the rails once the 2 part came out. A beautiful piece ruined by epoxy.
