what a waste of sooo much timber. instead of sticking the circles together, use a jigsaw to remove the middles - and stick rings together, (you'd need to figure an alignment jig). you could repeat the process of circle to ring a couple of times and make a 'set' of similar vessels. also you end up with less chippings on the floor to clear up when you finished.

two different methods of block construction for jar and lid make for a bit of a visual mis-match. the handle is silly. the bottom of the base is too thin imo and will prove a weak point.
