      awesome! glad you found it helpful, you can get placement switches pretty cheap, if the lighst are not working / faded that's the simplest / easiest option. enjoy the car, they're great fun!

    Great video! Just removed the dash from an old golf ready to put in my main mk2 which I’ve got till my 17th birthday to finish(in January and still got a lot to do😅). Took me a while to find the 2 nuts under the bonnet that needed doing🤣

    just for the future but about the heater fan switch you can just slide it up and it will release from the panel. No need to take the plug off

      Yeah nothing inside the bonnet / hood area thankfully. There is if you want to take out the heater matrix but thankfully not the dash

    There should be x2 10mm nuts under the scuttle tray, you can’t see them you have to feel about for them 😂🤦🏼‍♂️

    When I removed the dash from my gl there were two nuts under the scuttle. I’m curious as to why your car doesn’t have them🤔

    Really informative thanks for posting. Are there no bolts through the bolk head that hold the dash? I saw another video where he mentioned it? I'll be removing mine shortly. Thanks again.

    • @MK2GolfStories
      @MK2GolfStories  Před 2 lety +1

      Nah the bolts inside the bulkhead hold the heater matrix in place, only need to remove the nuts on them if you’re taking that out.

    One of those dummy buttons fell into my dashboard when i tried to pull it out. I can feel it from down beneath the steering wheel where there's a gap in the plastic. Is removing the dashboard the only way to get to it?

      @brankodordevic7106 Před 3 lety +2

      Upon watching the vid more carefully, I noticed you removed the exact piece of plastic which I would need to remove at 8:25. Thanks!
      Also, could you maybe do a vid about swapping out the radio for a different model/brand?

      Glad you managed to get to it, I was going to say you could also try getting yo to hand up under the steering column.
