A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ CZcams. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of CZcams I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on CZcams won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This CZcams channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different
This is a reaction video used to educated and give my feedback on the song and artist

My girl and I in high school grooved to this song all the time. Man it was great growing up in the 70's with so much great music of all kinds, rock, r&b, disco, pop, country.
Exactly, you aint never lied! All the different types of music of that era was Excellent!
And it all got played on the same radio station! None of this "you can only listen to this particular genre" crap we get force-fed today.
The Emotions "Don't Want To Lose Your Love" and "Don't Ask My Neighbor"...I guess they like the word DON'T
"Car Wash from Car Wash" - Rose Royce
Peaches & Herb "Shake Your Groove Thing"
The Emotions had some hits - Boogie Wonderland, Don’t Ask My Neighbor
And then the Pointer Sisters - Chick on the Side, Slow Hand, Automatic
And anything from Teena Marie
Akeevia Turner yasss!! Let’s get into it! My jams!
Boogie Wonderland reminds me that he MUST react to Earth, Wind & Fire! 🤗
SQUARE BIZ..............I NEED YOUR LOVIN´ BY THE QUEEN OF BLUE EYED SOUL PLEASE !! YOU´LL LOVE IT !
Don't ask my neighbor
@@juanitadiemer64You should've named the "Queen of Blue eyed Soul", Teena Marie!
If I remember correctly, these lovely ladies were sisters and started out singing gospel music for their church. Somehow Maurice White and Earth, Wind & Fire discovered their talent and wrote this for them - and also promoted them and gave them their true "start" in the contemporary music arena. They were a remarkable talent, although I don't think they ever got the credit they deserved for their music. There are still a lot of us "older" folk who never heard of them. But I always really loved their music - along with EW&F of course!
Actually Isaac Hayes discovered them and they had some successful R&B singles written by him when they were signed to Stax records and was in the movie concert film Wattstax. Since they were from Chicago Don Cornelius had them on Soul Train when he started the show in 1970. When Stax declared bankruptcy that's when Maurice White picked them up and signed them to his Kalimba/ARC/Columbia label since he knew them when he was as session drummer for Chess records in Chicago.
True they were not discovered by EW&F, they were an established group before they hooked up with Maurice White, they started singing under the management of their father with a different name for their group.
Great reaction! Man, I think you'd love Chic's "Le Freak."
I think he would love it also. It is one of my favorite songs.
mrhallcommajon! ARE YOU TRYING CAUSE THIS YOUNG BROTHA TO SUFFER A "BOOGIE, FUNKY, JAMMIN ANEURYSM!!!!"🤯😳😵😝🤪🤣
Yea......let him take this great music in gradually some at a time and don't overload his young senses.
Here is a soulful song I think you would like Bill Withers " Ain't No Sunshine"
Yes!!!
I was just about to say Bill Withers...Lovely Day is another great one!! And here's a good but weird song...Strawberry Letter 29 by Brothers Johnson...or if you want smooth Lou Rawls..."You'll Never Find"..
“Flowers” by The Emotions is an underrated classic by them! Beautifully highlights the talent these ladies had.
I agree their wonderful and powerful vocals, and harmony are amazing!
The LEGENDARY Iconic Hutchinson sisters aka the Emotions ❤❤❤
This is my favorite song of all time. Thanks for the reaction.
REQUEST: THE GROOVE LINE by HEATWAVE (1979) Disco: stretch!

Reminds me of riding in the car with my mama back in the 70’s!!
Sisters Discovered By Earth Wind and Fire. One of them died a couple of days ago1
Exactly they were out before EWF! They ate from Chicago and were on the stax record label. Their hit song "So I Can Love You" was on that label. Before thhen they were in their father's church.
@@gesk yep they also had What Do the Lonely Do At Christmas. Isaac Hayes produced some of their earlier records.
One of them had a child with Philip Bailey
Actually, the sister named Hutchinson were on the Stax label and had hits "So I can Love You & What do they at Christmas" before they left for Columbia records. It was there ther Maurice White & Charlie Stickney produced their next 3 albums.
@@gesk Don't forget "Show Me How"!
Always LOVED THIS SONG!!!! These girls can sing!!
My brother, you missed out on one of the greatest periods of music when people were constantly celibrating life every day!!! Those were my teens. It was filling the air from the moment you woke up to the time you hit the pillow. Pure joy!
You didn't know because you have been Musically Deprived. You will learn and have fun doing it.
Whitney Houston "I just wanna dance" (live at Arista) a great dance video
Song written and produced by Maurice White, the genius producer and arranger of EW&F.
EW&F played on this and many of their songs!
If you listen it has all Maurice's and EW&F musical sophistication and production.
If Maurice kept this and released as an EW&F single, it would have been just as huge
you didn't know???? welcome to our youth when music was everything!!
Thelma Houston "Don't Leave Me This Way" you'll love it!
Woooooh love it when the music gets you. No one can sit still to this. Boogie Wonderland. You are definitely a disco baby.

One of my all time favorite songs! You can’t help but be happy and dance when you hear it!
Dude I picked up that CD recently at a thrift store for like 25 cents. Produced by Maurice White of Earth, Wind and Fire. Those ladies have the best voices and the songs are good.
You never heard of The Emotions? Where have you been on the moon. The absolute best women's group of all time. Harmony at its best. They are all sisters.
A lot of young people didn't grow up with this kind of music.
Would be great to see you react to some Bill Withers-‘Lovely Day’, ‘Lean On Me’, ‘Ain’t no Sunshine’

Listen to, The Emotions - Walking the Line. Beautiful song that really displays the beauty and harmony of the group.
The Genius of the LEGENDARY Iconic Mr Maurice White ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love this song. Like many danceable soul+funk songs from the late '70's and early '80's, it lifts you up!!!!
This is a Classic Pop Song. They were a Gospel Group at First and this is their biggest Song. It was featured in Boogie Nights and later it was also featured on the UK Soap Opera Coronation Street. It went to Number One on the Pop & R & B Charts in 1977. They also had the Hit Record "Boogie Wonderland" with Earth Wind & Fire. They Made History by being the Second Group to do a Duo with another Group. The First was with The Temptations & Supremes with "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me" originally done by Dee Dee Warwick (Sister Of Dionne). Sadly enough they like alot of Female R & B Bands they didn't get "Paid". Pamela Hutchinson died on September 18th 2001. Also if you can, check out The Ritchie Family, The Three Degrees, The Pointer Sisters and Love Unlimited.
Donna Summer - "Love To Love You Baby"
I don't know if he could handle it!

Check out Emotions - I don't wanna lose your love.
LOL, the spirit grabbed you, my friend. These were my high school memories, so much great music floating around, an embarrassment of riches. You can't listen to this song and not be happier afterwards, just not possible. So catchy, such good ear candy!
It doesn't get better than the emotions
Wow i see nobody in the comments that Pamela Hutchinson died. She was one the sister's and member of the group RIP.
“I ain’t even stretch or nothin” 😂😂😂😂
No pain, no gain!
This song was a big hit for the Emotions released on June 9, 1977 and was a number #1 hit for 5 weeks. This song was written by Earth Wind & Fire members Al McKay and Maurice White. This song genre is considered, disco, R&B, funk and soul. If your looking for a dance Banger consider, "Just Got Paid" by Johnny Kemp, please.
