You have no idea how little time they give these studios to push out the animations. Weekly shonen magazines come out every week and when shows are being made. Each episode comes out the same day every following week.

I wonder why they replace the original line with Piccolo basically comparing Cell to himself? I get they replace a lot of the lines because they were either poorly acted, was too dumb for their worth, etc., but that line was perfectly fine. Especially when it's replacement is basically Piccolo calling himself dumb.

Piccolo is literally supposed to be one of the only Z fighters with smarts. The only other really smart one was Future Trunks since he tried to finish fights quickly instead of prolonging them, although he isn’t perfect either.

They also changed Vegito's intention in the Super Buu fight. In the Japanese version, manga, etc., he intends to get absorbed.
For whatever reason, the Funi dub rewrote his dialogue and inner monologue to make it seem like Super Buu's absorption caught him by surprise.
If I remember the plot correctly, weren't the balls inert at this point? Maybe it's too much foresight, but Piccolo maybe was admitting that absorbing Kami was too risky a move given how his fight with cell would turn out.

The original dialogue was on my 3 episode dvd from the early 2000s.
So wait...is he talking to Cell during this portion? Maybe they changed it to have it more in line with his action of lulling Cell into a false sense of security to get info from him.

One of the lines that's always bothered me most on every release I think is Frieza fight with nail. There's this line after nail regenerates his arm where Frieza says he'll have to remember that move while he presses his scouter, kind of implying that it has the ability to copy moves and I hate it lmao

It’s because Cell has Piccolo’s Cell’s which would make Cell have Piccolo’s imperfections as well. Piccolo knows he made mistakes in the past like trying to take over the world, missing all of Goku’s vital organs when fighting him, and when he finally killed Goku he shortly realized that he’d need him to fight the Saiyan’s. In this scene obviously Cell managed to impress piccolo to show that he is a smarter fighter than him at this point in time. So yeah makes sense to me.
