    Azerbaijan made me cry. Those explosions sound real. And I can honestly feel the stress and trauma that those citizens go through. Italy is by far my favorite because I'm not sure if I need to dance or to leave. Japan's is weirdly calming but I would've been scared of it none of the less, especially if I was a victim of the tsunami in 2011.

    y'know what's fun? being Dutch and knowing your 'oh shit it's real' siren, then living in rural Japan where they use the exact same sound to summon the local fire department volunteers. shot straight out of bed and damn near under the stairs first time it went off at 4 in the morning.

    I never noticed how funny the Mexican one sounds until you, foreigners, started to react to it 🤣. That's the Mexican Seismic Alert System and it usually scares the shit out of us when we hear it haha. I suggest you to read about this warning system, it's interesting. :)
    Edit: We usually do earthquake drills every September 19th to be prepared for the real thing, whenever it happens. 😬

    As a Floridian, I hear the iPhone and American alarms way too much bc of all the hurricanes and tornadoes we get from hurricanes. It’s just piling on top of the childhood trauma from hearing it. Sometimes I would keep hearing it and it would make it a lot harder to sleep

It’s like the Midwest US “Alerts” you might get with the calm music with the colored screen that still allows you to watch TV but it’ll tell you “yo it’s flooding around small rivers don’t leave home until you have to”

    The Swedish one does not actually sound like a bunch of beep and boops. We have over 4300 sirens all over Sweden
    If you look it up the actual AES alarm is one siren alarm with multiple version of it. Some to signify we are in a war, one which signify we are hostile airplanes on our airspace and one that signify toxic waste has leaked somewhere

    Turkey has multiple EAS sounds, that siren plays at every 10th of November, the day Turkey's founder Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK died. It plays for a minute.     Saudi Arabia has changed its siren, this one used to come up on TV during 1991 announcements whenever there is an Iraqi missals flying overhead, also it was a long written/spoken announcement in Arabic first and then in English
