Lec-35: Introduction to IEC 61850-I

This lecture describes objectives of IEC 61850 standard known as “Communication Networks and Systems for Power Utility Automation”. It is discussed that the standard can be divided into five parts and each part can be further divided into various subparts. Each part, along with its subpart, is described with an appropriate standard number.
