These old machines are pretty fascinating in the mechanical designs.

lol. I'd not even have noticed that display issue. Now you've told me, I can't unsee ;). I mean, making me remember what song is on what side, scandal. hehe.

During the time I was repairing consumer electronics there was a company that specialized in idler wheels. If they didn't have right one in stock they were able to rebuild your old one.

That jukebox is so assertive when it slaps down that disc, it's letting you know it's alive without even hearing the record!

Great video. I will likely never buy an old juke box but it sure is fun watching you repair yours.

Idler wheel turntables, in good condition, are quite well regarded for low noise as well. Arguably better than direct drive.

As to the bow hitting that grove before fixing the belt....my brother Geoff called it...I ( fortunately ?) have only one brother.

The bronze bushing on idler wheel should not be loose. Spring keeper on underside of wheel should be pushed up to hold bushing tight against wheel. That will also get rid of wobble.

Very fascinating to be learning from you how these old jukeboxes work without having any electronics just like an EM pinball machine. Makes you wonder if ppl were smarter back in the day even though mechanical logic translates into electronic logic fairly easily if you understand what's going on. I watch all of your videos because ya never know what's coming up next!
