I concur. I like Paddy OUTSIDE of MMA a lot. The public service he's done, for veterans (showing them how to subdue an opponent without weapon, by demonstrating it against US Marines in San Diego, etc), for children's clubs, for mental health causes, etc. have been awesome.
It's just his WWE BS in mma, at the UFC that's going to probably end his mma career.
Paddy's BJJ is elite; but, unfortunately, his striking is pretty mediocre. If you're approaching 28 - 30, the prime of your MMA and your striking sucks like Paddy's, you likely aren't going to move into the Top 5 at 155 at the UFC. Jared, shorter and small, with less reach, is unranked.
If Paddy struggled against Jared, there is ZERO chance he's beating any of the Top 10 or so... Even elderly RDA (viciously put down by young Fiziev) would likely over run Paddy, anywhere, due to RDA's well roundedness.
People like Arman, Ismagulov, Gorum et al, with just very good striking, would obliterate Paddy and people with extremely good to elite striking ability like Fiziev, Benny, Dustin, Islam, Chandler, Conor, Charles... they'd turn his lights out so fast, he'd never have time to go to the mat...

Listen, someone close to Gordon, please please tell him that LITERALLY ALL GORDON HAS TO DO IS GET ‘good bacteria’ in his body and it will fight off all the above problems he mentioned. Probiotics, PROBIOTICS & ‘PROBIOTICS’!. Doctors ignore this simple fact bc they are trained since day 1 to “…find out what drugs reduce your problem.” And not fix the problem from the source. I had all the problems associated w Gordon (I don’t think as severe) and I noticed my dog has a similar thing. I had to apologize right from the door so I just watched as much of Gordon's matches as I could of I couldn't be more impressed I'm not a huge Jujitsu fan but I do realize it's valuable he has the ability to strangle you or break a limb this and I've ever seen in other person I'm a huge wrestling fan I wrestled I coach folk style wrestling is different because you have to hold somebody on the ground and you have to be able to get up so you have to be able to hold and turn a guy or get a pin and you had to be able to stand up sit out or Grammy roll up it's so it translates more in my opinion then freestyle because freestyle you're not trying to hold a guy down necessarily LOL I went on a rant but when I seen him go with Bo nickel Hodge Trophy winner three time national champion and one of the all-time greatest collegiate High School and would soon be Olympic wrestlers in America history if you didn't go into MMA in another four years he'd be representing the USA and probably winning medals I will say this I don't know how far along Bo nickel was in jiu-jitsu like he might have been a blue belt once he's at a brown belt or at least a black belt level no one's going to touch him on the ground except for potentially this man right here the only Jiu Jitsu players the Gracie's and the Death Squad different levels I would love to see that fight actually like an MMA fight in the future Gordon's going to have to stop taking the juice but as you did too very very clean I just don't think Jujitsu is enough you need to have strong wrestling strong striking but IQ the whole nine
