Derek, thank you for your podcast and getting on these incredible guests. But please, please speak less. Your questions take 5 minutes of talking about yourself until you get to your questions. Most of us are here to hear from John and Gordon. It’s incredibly frustrating to have the host talking for 80% of the conversation - it should be the opposite way round. Thank you for your podcast but please fix this.

I could definitely tell the difference in mentality between coaching between you and John. Everybody has a difference in styles but I absolutely hate the qualification style.. Before working with someone
I agree with John on the open door policy then the best students will stay and prove themselves and the rest will sort themselves out.

I think Jozef Chen figured out BJJ by himself only studying instructional videos …. Ok these videos were taught by the masters. But I find this impressive that he became a master of BJJ in the pandemic, whilst we all were locked away and in such short period of time. Genius! I thought John is 56, April 1967. (I still think he does not look his age he has no wrinkles at all 😅) The video states it only came out 16 hours ago… just saying. Was it done last year perhaps? Very very interesting conversation, but it was expected from s.o. Like Danerher.
