Day 13/ Empire State Trail Charity Project/The Dale Association's Senior Center.

A brutal finish to a long two weeks. Less than 5 miles in was a 1.2 mile climb, average 9%. This is deceiving as the climb was staircase with pitches in the upper teens and one that matched my steepest ever, 23%. I rode 17 miles through the streets of Yonkers, Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan before reaching the Greenway down to Battery Park. Unsurprisingly, there was no marker to note the end of the trail.
