    Hello Everyone. Been a while between posts here. Been busy in the last two months translating all my free and paid courses into 6 languages (subtitles in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil) and Italian! Yikes, it has been a ton of work, but we're nearly done. Enjoy this video in the meantime. Pro Tip: you can translate any of my CZcams videos into any language when you turn on the "CC" option and select "auto translate" by selecting the gear icon/subtitles.

    I thought someone else was playing that solo, so was it George? Outstanding, such a tasty solo from a non keyboard player!

      Hello Pablo. Yes! According to Wikipedia, George played the synthesizer and Al Kooper played the electric piano.

    He was a great slide guitarist and the chords in this song are incredible. His Lennon tribute.

      He was such a good song writer. I love how he brought back the other Beatles to record with him.

    Nice! Thanks for sharing that solo. I'm still however mastering the "affording a Nord Stage 3" 😅portion of the exericise; but I'll try it on my Deep Mind 12 - thanks again

      Hello @LiberLotus You are not alone with this challenge ("affording a Nord Stage 3"). However, with your Deep Mind 12, there should be no problem getting close to all these sounds as I have done with the Stage 3. It might take a bit of practice with your synth to get there, so be patient with yourself and take them one at a time. There is also a GREAT COURSE to learn synthesis which I am an affiliate of that you can find here: www.syntorial.com/#a_aid=MyKeysToMusic (worth every penny).

      @@MyKeysToMusic interesting! I'm glad you told me about that, I have slowly pulled myself towards comprehending synthesis but it's slow going as I spend more time on melodic arranging. So a course might be worth considering to speed things up. Thanks for reaching out!

    Can you do the synth to Margarita by The Traveling Wilburys?

    • @MyKeysToMusic
      @MyKeysToMusic  Před 10 měsíci

      @jamesdmtucker Cool song! I spent some time listening in detail to the opening track of this song and there is a lot to unpack. I hear it as three independent synth sounds plus a percussion HH sound happening, each with its own arpeggiator pattern (like having 4 separate recording tracks). So, it's kind of a complex situation happening with 4 parts total needed. Then, on top of that, you have an interesting sound effect weaving in and out every few measures. So, from a technical standpoint, this is well beyond the capability of the Nord Stage 3 arp and layer limits. The basic structure could be accomplished on the Nord Wave 2, however, as it has 4 independent layers and it comes complete with the necessary pattern arpeggiator, which, in my opinion, is crucial for pulling this sound off.
      Plan B:
      1. You could sample the intro since it's already so well isolated. This would be pretty easy to sample and assign to a single key on your NS3. Granted, some see this as cheating, but it gets the job done.
      2. You could sort of jimmy-rig a make-shift alternative potentially (with plenty of compromise) to spoof the sound using the two layers of the Stage 3. To the casual listener, it might pass, but to the ears of a true Wilbury's fan, it will likely be interpreted as a failed attempt.
      Knowing my opinion of all this, what is your current reaction and thoughts?

    Are you sure your not really George's back-up pianist?

      @geridayao8924 Geri - that is a huge compliment! Thanks. I "wish" I could have made that claim because that would be quite the honor. RIP George - we would have loved to hear what you came up with next had you been around a while longer... 🎶
