My concern is that this is a declining species. Each face-hugger makes one egg... If you kill a face-hugger, then their population permanently decreases by one... They never increase in numbers.
Unless the facehuggers latch onto an alien with a giant asshole that can shit multiple eggs before they die. Humanoid sized creatures are the ones that for sure die after half an hour.

To me the show went to shit with and after Morty's mindblowers.
Nothing is coherent anymore, everything goes and the writers give half-assed explications for why we are in a setup. Suposedly smart characters do all kinds of idiocies just to further the plot. It has become as random as a family guy episode.
u can see clearly that they're population is made out by different species, so i think they have a big population of different alien travelers that founded theirs eggs, and got controled by it

I wanna say the car came before the portal gun. So at that point it's like tradition and old habits + using what you've made.
I also think it might be a safeguard. Rick loses his portal gun so often on their adventures I've lost count. With the car there he has a "base" to return to where he can formulate a plan and get his portal gun back (or leave and get materials to return with avengeance later). Whereas if he didn't have the car he'd get stranded.
Plus, from what we've seen Rick needs to know the coordinates of where he wants to go before he can use the portal gun to get there. That or he could randomly guess and end up in a sun or something. My guess for why he seems to get away with using it in chase scenes and such is because he used to do a lot of random guessing when he was younger and now he knows the coordinates to all the different alternate realities so he can re-visit them/use them as an escape route.
This is all just theory mind you.

Call me crazy, but I think this is essentially how the whole "god" thing started. When someone was able to do something others couldn't and they didnt understand it so the story was passed and passed and this almighty being was born through stories...for all we know summer could really be the god for someone.
there was a theory about that with jesus walking on water, near where the bible says he did it, there's some marks of bumps of rocks on the deep parts of the water that years ago, would had let you walk with only getting wet till you knee, so during a storm, and looked from a distance, it would seems like you're walking on water
Obviously... Most of it is entirely exaggerated over the years. Start a rumor talking about how fast someone was able to swim a lap in a pool and thousands of years from now people will be talking about how the dude was walking on water. Same with noahs ark, one day a village floods and all the animals in the barn are drowning, can't carry them all by hand but the local carpenter had some spare crates around, he quickly nails them together to form a crude boat and they scoop some of the animals into it. Space was limited so they fit 2 of each animal, 2 cows, 2 goats, 2 chickens, 2 pigs and the boat is full but it was a small farm anyway. There wasn't enough room for all of them so the farmer decided to take 2 of each in hopes to breed them back. He was so grateful he spreads the story around. Every year they'd have a banquet telling the story but every time it's retold the story become more and more grand and suddenly there were thousands of animals, 2 of every species, the farm becomes the entire city then the entire island and suddenly instead of a small flash flood it becomes the entire world and suddenly the boat is as big as a skyscraper...
We've already built a modern recreation of the ark described in the bible, it took like a hundred thousand man hours with cranes, bulldozers, and every kind of modern power tool available. They built it in Kentucky and it took over 120 million dollars and it's literally just a theme park, it's not even capable of floating and it nearly got wiped out because of a small flash flood, millions of dollars in damage... We couldn't even build it with modern building materials, modern architecture, thousands of workers, heavy machinery, and properly treated and waterproofed wood. But in the bible it was all done by one man, he had no help and barely any tools to work with in that era plus he couldn't exactly just go to home depot to buy wood, he'd have to chop every tree down by himself and cut it into lumber by hand, somehow dry the wood out and waterproof it, make all the rope by hand as well as the nails. One guy couldn't do all that even if he spent his entire life, it would take multiple villages spending their entire lives to make something even a fraction of that size...
How people believe the bible word for word with such glaring flaws in it is beyond me. It was only ever meant to be a book of short stories meant to teach morals, believing anything more than that is just pure idiocracy. It's been written, rewritten, and changed so many times and there's even multiple version. It has deep roots in inequality despite preaching equality, so much sexism, racism, and just outright disturbing stories in it so I don't understand how it's treated like the word of god... Also, my favorite part of the bible is how god gave us free will then didn't like what we did with it so he drowned the entire planet. Handful of sinners not following your command, just drown them along with all the innocent men, women, children, and animals, even the newborn babies but be sure to save only 2 of every species so the family tree will be filled with incest otherwise they will go extinct. 🙂👍
