  • In this video, Howard reviews the Puron, which is a small AC power conditioner ($250 USD) "plug" that is distributed by Vera-Fi Audio. It’s said to cleanse the electronic circuit that feeds and audio system. Many tweaks cost a pretty penny for little or no performance increase. Is that the case here? Checkout the video!

I just got one and they enhanced my already heavily modded £50k system. Probably the best tweak I have experienced. No brainer.

This doesn’t just ‘change’ the sound, it improves everything. It’s like getting a whole system upgrade. Even in my heavily conditioned and modified setup.

What's wrong with the power supplies in your gear you think you need this thing?

The website leaves a lot to be desired wrt to how this thing works, because they say nothing, nor do they show any measurements that must have been taken during the development of this product iot make the marketing claims they make ... and why 24-hrs, why not 20 or 15 hrs, what did they measure to show that it needed 24-hrs? Has it been certified safe to use in your home? After all, you're plugging it into your home's power, will it burst into flames at some point ... hard to say, no certifications that are shown or stated ... bottom line, this thing looks and sounds like a money grab ... just saying!

No fire risk imo. It doesn’t even get warm. Switch off after listening

They don’t say how it works because it doesn’t do anything 😂 if it did, they’d have measurements and info on the power conditioning. That’s one data point that is very easily measured in this hobby.

Incorrect assumptions. Poor logic from an objectivist 😂

motors need somewhat clean power, but can accomodate undervoltage up to 5%... electronics don't need these devices at all.

A total and complete waste of money! Any decent electronics have power supplies designed to properly filter and regulate the voltage. If they don't, there's either something wrong with it, or it's complete junk. I guarantee you can't measure any improvement with specs when using it (distortion, noise...), nor can you hear any difference - unless it's psychoacoustic. But, you're allowed to waste money on whatever you want to.
