Class 20s arrive at Eastleigh Works - 21st December 2012

- DRS Class 20s, 20303, 20304, 20302 and 20301 arrived for storage, 20303 leading with 20304 also running. They were stopped briefly in the yard and then driven through the main Workshops to the rear of the Works where they were then reversed into Bay 1 where they will be stored.
829 is virtually complete and due out on Monday.
The swap around relates to them splitting the train into the four carriages on arrival and putting two in the paint tent and two in the other part of the shed. Half way through they swap the vehicles around for the second pair to be painted. Formations remain as they were once put back together at the end.
They don't usually touch the windows, just an interior refurb and a repaint.
Photos updated to 18th Jan over weekend, next batch in a few days.

Yes, it does have a 318 style cab window, looks rather starnge. It is still in place and isn't due to be removed.

Yes, we have three on site; 5515, 6515 and 6732. The latter two are already in the scrap line and 5515 will join them next week.
828 due out around 8pm this evening, next one due in around 7am tomorrow.
832 arrived this morning. I have no direct involvement with the refurb project so can't answer your other questions, sorry.
