I went there last may and I'm happy to report a successful treatment. My shoulder was completely pooched and about 4,5 months later. I'm about 75% strength and 85% mobility. Completely change my outlook and my abilities

Please let us know how you are doing post treatment. I have bad RA that's been misdiagnosed for years, been pushed aside by medical professionals, so looking into other options.
I see potential to bring this treatment to say, Morocco, to treat a large European population and not getting restricted by European regulations. The actual treatment is injection of stemcells into the specific area. The cultivation or expansion of the cells can be done in Puerta Vallarta. With Telemedicine, patients can be screened prior to arrival at the Stemcell Clinic.
I think there a lot of people will be helped as stem cell therapy and other regenerative medicine techniques become more widely available.

It's a xeno free medium. No animal products whatsoever.
How often would u repeat a stem cell therapy if needed? U had bad knee for example and got 50% better in 3 months. Do u keep waiting or do another round then or wait 6 months or 1 year. Just wanted to clarify completely
Good question, Joshua. The healing response that's triggered from Stem Cell therapy occurs slowly over time. I didn't notice anything for a couple months. By the 6 month mark however, things had significantly and very obviously improved. So, waiting 9 months - 1 year to really assess the result seems prudent.
I’m hoping 1.5 million UC MSC’s given intra articular injection into my knee joint will work extremely well for late stage O/A. I have articular cartilage loss now and am post medial meniscus tears. I’ve waited too long to get my knee fixed, (very arthritic) so I’m wondering if mesenchymal cells will still work. At least at my age of 61, I’m getting the Whartons Jelly matrix. But will 1.5 million cells be enough ?
How much is enough of the MSC’s ?
Also having a Genicular nerve block, (radio frequency nerve ablation) for pain and to help turn off the inflammation process hopefully.
I’d like to be able to afford a trip to DBC for more stem cell procedures ! I truly believe it is the future of HEALTH care. What we have here in the USA is medical care. Lots of medical care is great and needed. But if all you have is a hammer everything looks like a nail. Then add FDA and big pharma and it’s no surprise how slow the process is. Definitely I believe 100 % first line defense for O/A should be Mesenchymal cells !!

Great question, mtease! I'm so glad that your experience with stem cells has been positive. What I can tell you is that in Mexico, the reputable clinics will use 50 million MSCs for a knee treatment. 1.5 million MSCs may indeed help for a smaller, more pinpoint problem (assuming they injected them into exactly the right spot) but, that amount is certainly not stacking the deck in your favor.
I agree that stem cell therapy will be used much more regularly in the future. These procedures have such a tremendous upside with little to no risk.

@@mesenchymalstemcells , hi, I ended up getting 3 million of the UC MSC ‘s (Wharton’s jelly matrix) not cultured, FDA approved for good tissue practice ect..
Wasn’t sure about using cultured as I’ve heard if more treatments needed it would be safe to do so with using non cultured the first time, and if more needed. Guess there could be rejection issues with cultured ??
So much easier than when I used my own MSC’s in 2014 at age 53, but do not think allogenic effects are better ( at least not yet) but so many variables with disease process further along now as opposed to then, and considering it takes time either way.
I’m now 7 months post procedure & doing very well. In the morning I still limp somewhat it seems until I’m up on my feet for a while. Then I’m good throughout my day. I do think I may go for another treatment & would like to know if using cultured cells for higher numbers would work better and be safe. I haven’t taken any nsaids, acetaminophen, vaccines, cholesterol meds. I do have pretty much organic food, collagen, fish oil, pomegranate juice, and plant based supplements daily. Only use stevia, no artificial sweeteners.
Twice since the procedure I’ve felt a cracking feeling & I swear the MSC’s were breaking up old scar tissue. I do have bone spurs that may be hindering healing somewhat, but generally I’m happy with outcome ! So much better with pain & inflammation! No more walking in pain !!
What about the jaw joint? The temporomandibular joint.
Good question, Nino. With TMJ, it really depends on: 1) What's causing the problem - If it's mechanical, those issues would have to be addressed prior to stem cell treatment. 2) The condition of the joint tissue.

With TMJ, no one knows what's causing it. They start throwing stress around, which is ridiculous. Even with an MRI you only get a vague idea, and it's not 100% certain. Could be stress, could be teeth (but a lot of doctors today don't believe the bite has anything to do with it), could be an injury, could be anything.
But I know what caused mine. It was 2 closing clicks in my right TMJ during chewing about a year ago. Those 2 clicks damaged something, and from then on I had pain and light clicking. Fast forward a year later, I have constant tension, and pretty bad clicking. I've been to doctor after doctor, did 2 CBCT scans, 2 MRIs, and I learned nothing conclusive, and received 0 help.
TMJD is the most horrible debilitating condition for a person to have. And medicine has resigned to just treating it, get you out of pain. And even that they do badly. So you just sit around suffering 24 hours per day, while you wait for it to inevitably get worse.
I'm talking about intracapsular problems. There's also what they call muscular TMJ, but I don't consider that as serious as having actual damage in your actual joint, like I have :(
Im considering PRP and stem cell therapy for my mom’s (84 y.o and in otherwise in good health) left shoulder and possibly my right shoulder if I get worse.
My mom however had a lumpectomy on her right breast in 2019. It seems cancer within 5 years precludes my mom from stem cell treatment. Any idea what current research leans toward as far as MSCs and cancer? I’ve read articles that show research on MSCs that support both tumor proliferation as well suppression.
I don’t want to be insensitive, but what Dr. Kettner said about his dad’s uncle, or friend that developed a brain tumor from embryonic stem cells, really makes me hesitant.
I’m very concerned that MSCs (although not harvested from embryonic tissue), might cause recurrence for my mom.
Perhaps PRP treatment alone would work for my mom’s shoulder.
I completely understand your concern, Peter! It's great that you're gathering lots of information before deciding if this type treatment is appropriate for your mom. A couple clarifications: 1st - Treatments using embryonic stem cells and treatments using MSCs are two very different things. 2nd - Josh Ketner is the founder of Dream Body Clinic - he is very knowledgeable about stem cells and regenerative medicine but he is not a doctor.
As for your question, I don't believe there is sufficient evidence to answer it one way or the other at this time. There's lots of research showing that MSCs are a promising therapeutic agent - Here are some examples - but they all note that more research is needed:

Good question! It depends on what treatment you're getting (what tissue you're targeting). But for joint problems, they usually want to get the stem cells into the joint capsule to maximize the effect.

Josh stated for degenerative disc they would inject into the disc. On their website they state they no longer inject into the disc but around it. Would you have any info on this. Looking into stem cells but want to make the right choice.
At the time of this interview that was how they did it. They have since observed, that the results with intradiscal injections and intramuscular injections are virtually the same. So it seems, the less complex, less risky procedure won out.

A friend of mine had stem cell treatment in Florida about seven years ago. She had very good relief from pain for about 2 years and then the pain came back. Let's say I have a bone-on-bone hip situation and get the stem cell treatment. How many months or years could I expect to live without pain?

Stem cell therapy is not a cure all. It creates a 6-12 month window of opportunity to dramatically enhance healing/tissue repair in the body. What a person does with that window is up to them. I recommend rehab protocols that utilize nutrition, supplementation, therapeutic exercises, light therapy, sleep hygiene and lifestyle modification (when needed) to help ensure the best possible, longest-lasting result.

So what i get is "umbilical cord stemcell" is different from "embryonic stem cells", im always under impression that they are the same. Is there any case where umbilical cord stemcell grow and become tumor ?
Good question, Thomas! It's my understanding that because mesenchymal stem cells have already differentiated, they can not grow to become anything.
