This chill, laid back review I just what I needed. Thanks for taking the time to record it for us!
You are so welcome! Its a lot of work but its fun
You are officially my fav reviewer of all time. Calm, cool and collected; both honest and detailed. This is what I was hopping to get from a review. Going to check for the ROG video now. Thank you for your review!
Heck yea ! Thanks! Gonna upload a new ROG video on Sunday!!!! Thanks a lot dude
Drivers aren't a problem on here no more. They added it into leigon space settings which makes it easier now
I just got that update today thats so funny youre right
The perfect volume of the lofi and non bias review, I appreciate you bro. Super chill 🙏🏽 I just ordered one
First time watching your reviews, you have a great calming voice, good balanced review and i really like your style. Keep on going man. You got a new subscriber.
Heck yeah hahaha love that profile pic
Incredible channel. Honest, down to Earth, chill review. Valid and relevant points brought up with no bias. I will definitely be watching more videos. Good job.
Dude I appreciate that so much!
Absolutely love my Legion Go as I said before your videos swayed me into getting one. I haven't had a single issue, I use mine with headphones because I prefer them anyway.
What games have you played on your legion go ? Have you played fortnight , madden or 2k ? I wanna get 1 of these but on the edge lol
@@thomassaballa Not sure if you meant to ask me or Cyber Dopamine himself but I'm currently playing Enshrouded, I've previously played Palworld, Elden Ring, Palia, Cyberpunk and Baldurs Gate 3 and had no issues with any of those.
@Rosalera I meant to ask you ..thanks for responding back
Yeah in this day and age you don’t have to worry about what games you play with a legion go. It will play it.
@rosalera 🎧> 🔊
ive been hunting every review love this one keep it up. Been wanting to buy this but also might wait for the part 2
This might be the first video titled "Honest Review" which reviewed something honestly. Thanks for the insight, super useful.
Great honest review. Currently deciding between the legion go and a Rog ally
Very likeable and warm presentation, thank you. Keep it real with your in-depth but down to earth pros and cons.
THANKS quint. Nice profile pic haha
I like your videos, man. Your soft-spoken, chill way about going at things is much appreciated. I've been thinking about getting this device for a while now. It's a tie between the legion go, and the Rog Ally. However, I'm iffy about getting the Ally, since I heard it burns out microSD cards.
Thanks dude I appreciate that. for the Rog ALly, it was such a big issue in the beginnning that ASUS was like holy crap we gotta fix this. Im pretty sure its not a problem anymore
I was too. I used the SD card slot once to install a game, but the load times were pretty bad, so I decided to install a bigger internal SSD. Absolutely love the rog Ally. I had the legion go and returned it, wasn't for me.
Its a nice device (The rog ally), but at the moment, mine is with asus because of booting issues (cant boot into any device, ssd or usb) and the sd card got fried, you can use and external usb c to sd to avoid that.
I bought a "4K video recording" MicroSD card for my ROG Ally and the loading times are pretty quick. Furthermore, with BIOS and driver updates my SD Card is still alive, but on the other hand my left speaker is giving issues at low volumes after a month's usage and diverts sound to the right speaker.
I have 22 sd cards for the ROG Ally, they're all okay.
@CyberDopamine just wanna say what a great reveiw compared to others ive found on youtube. Helped alot!!! Subscribed!!!
Well done sir, nice and balanced review. Just ordered mine, looks like a beast, pumped to check it out.
Youre gonna love it
Amazing review. I wish all reviews were this real world and easy to connect to. I felt like I really experienced the pros and cons with this review.
Thats awesome thank you!! Im glad it felt real
Hey man, super well thought out video. I’ve loved my legion since I got it 2 months ago. It’s not perfect and definitely requires some deep diving and trouble shooting but the raw performance and screen are amazing. I love being able to run things like Overwatch 2 at 1200p at 100+ fps. Also being able to take the controllers off makes it super easy to store, whereas when I had a steam deck, I had to be more mindful of how I packed things due to its footprint. Love the vids man and keep it up.
Great presentation! Keep it up man. Kept me engaged without adding unnecessary cuts or over exaggerating/dramatizing. Will definitely watch your other content!
Dude thats rad! thank you!!!
Awesome video. Can’t wait for the ally vid you mentioned
That battery stress is so real! After about an hour I become completely immersed, getting up to plug in a charger is annoying sometimes. I usually carry a power bank around because I know I don't want to be tethered to a wall. Which is why I enable all the power saving options I possibly can with the ROG Ally (thankfully Asus defied expectations and supported the handheld very well). Before I know it it's 3am and I've been playing for 4 hours, it's a weird state of mind going from expecting the battery to die in an hour to forgetting about it entirely, time starts to fly even faster.
Awesome video as always, always got them chill vibes!
Yo its good to know Im not alone. Its totally different when you have peace of mind on battery. Thanks for the input!
How’s the battery in comparison with the ally?
Great review. I had a lot of questions and you answered them all. I just ordered one (my ROG Ally died after 2 months), and am happy I did.
how did your rog die?!
I tried to boot it. It sat on the “ROG” boot screen, got hotter and hotter. Now it’s just in a boot loop and keeps getting hotter. I tried resetting it (factory reset) but it’s not responsive. Sometimes, even holding down the power button doesn’t do anything. In the past (when I first got it) I would put it in the fridge to cool down and after a few hours it would start working. That isn’t working anymore. It has major temperature issues (you can’t use the micro-sd slot). It’s been doing this for days…. It’s still under warranty, so tomorrow I’m calling ASUS to get it serviced, but I have a couple trips coming up and want a handheld for the trips (that’s why I got it).
Agreed! Just got mine the other day and its even better than i expected. The screen is just the right size and looks very smooth. Unfortunately im not good playing fps with controller cause im a MnK gamer, but rpgs are awesome to play. Its great to lie down in bed and jump into palworld not having to sit at the desk when im already sitting all day for work.
EXACTLY. Preach dude glad you enjoy it
Great job man, great honest vid about the use of this thing instead of all the tec details most cover
Thank you!!! I want it to be relatable and all these other tech reviewers are just tech reviewers
@@CyberDopamineyou're so real for that, especially mentioning the stress from short battery life and the immersion breaking. Couldn't be more relatable, keep doing your thing bro
Thanks for the great insight on Legion Go!
Level headed, honest and straight to the point. Cheers!
Dude! Your really good at this!
Easy sub. Keep up the great videos man. Cheers!
glad i've found this vids, thanks for the honest review man
My pleasure broski
The Finals! Love that game, and the fact you can play it, plus FPS Mode is why imma cop this for my travels.

Oh thank you!
great informative review man. your time and information is very much appreciated! 👌
I appreciate that!
What a chill guy.. Thanks for the honest review.. Subs!
You've nailed the feeling of really using the device. Tear and wear is something of a concern of mine, because I'm not good and keeping things safe. Unfortunately battery life is a road block for me getting this device.
Your missing out. Two months of heavy mobile use and not an issue. I have a screen protector and dbrand skin wrapped around it. Gaming Escape from Tarkov at work is how i like to spend my down time. Im in a car right now...
It's a handheld, there's no way in hell you can play an AAA title that's very cpu and gpu intensive for more than 2-3 hours. Just get a powerbank if that's a concern, there's plenty of cheap powerbanks (like Baseus 65W, around 50$ and it has 2 full recharges) and you get around 5-6 hours of intensive gaming. Battery is always a plus, but saying that being able to play only 5-6 hours is a road block on a HANDHELD is very weird to me.
Bro listening to you review things and talk is just so therapeutic. Awesome review! So helpful. Am getting it next month when its gona relase in India.
Heck yeah dude! I wanna go there to india bro
Its weird how we're stuck between android having great performance and great battery life, but lacking a lot of games and windows having literally everything, but having horrific battery life and worst performance per $. Wish so badly that Microsoft could do some kind of magic where running games turns off literally everything from windows to give it better battery life and performance. Also would be nice if Microsoft went back to their tablet days with the windows tiles and made everything super handheld friendly. Clicking little tiny buttons for everything is just not intuitive for handhelds. I know I mentioned "Handheld mode" before, but I'm starting to think that was just a lie.
Then you have the steam deck with linux
If you want better performance and battery life, you want "Microsoft Magic" removed, not added....
Yeah thats the paradox
Gamebooster app used to have that back in the day
Steam deck oled.
Excellent job explaining everything man thank you!
My pleasure!
Great video and gave me a lot to think on (as one that is bit intrested in getting a new device after my steam deck)
The best thing I love about this device is how easy it is to install mod managers. I modded the hell out of mass effect legendary edition.
Great vid! Just ordered one for my birthday! :D
Heck yea you’re gonna love it
Really great review, just keep up and you will get better if you think you need to. For me you were already great 👌👌
Awesome video! Please keep us updated on this device!
For sure!
I sold my ROG Ally a couple days ago so I'm super excited to pick one of these up! Perfect timing for your video also.
One question I've been sort of wanting to ask is how good the right controller touch-pad is for navigating the desktop?
I kind of liked using the thumbstick as a mouse on the ROG Ally and I heard from multiple people that the Legion Go's touchpad sucks.
I don’t think they’re a problem at all. It just works you know? I mostly just use the touch screen unless it’s something like baldurs gate
You're good at this , very informative.
I appreciate that!
Great video, what's the colourful game with the guy with the sword?
Which version of drivers are you using atm? did you download amd drivers or just the lenovo space ones? its a pain! I cant play COD cuz always crashes
I love your style 😊 you do a great job! Gentle voice very smooth guy ❤

Best review I’ve seen of this product
Heck yeah thanks a lot
Thank you for all your reviews and talking about handheld devices like this with us. Do you feel it is worth making a purchase on the Legion go right now with rumors that there could be a new updated one coming out by the end of the year? I am on my last day to return the go and I’m not quite sure I want to keep it yet. It is a great device, lots of quirks and bugs and issues to work through and do you have a nice gaming, laptop and desktop PC currently to get me by but as a busy dad, the handheld device has been really great to have as an addition
Dude thanks a lot. I would personally wait. Computex is around the corner where companies drop a lot of things like new chips and products. I’d say waiting a month for a device is better than pulling the trigger and then wishing you didn’t
Awesome content, got yourself a new Sub! Waiting on more content.
I bought an open box from best buy and there was charging problems. I ended up getting a new one. As long as everything works, I think this is an amazing device. Gamers seem to hate the Windows aspect, but for someone who wants a portable powerful mini pc on the go, this is the best device to have.
Nice review! When you mentioned stressing about battery life, there's actually a term for that in the e-bike community. It's called, "Range anxiety". With e-bikes, let's say you are supposed to have a 40 mile range on your battery. A lot of people experience stress/anxiety about how much power they have left when they're only half way through their ride because of the limitations of their battery. Same is true here. Very common phenomenon :) -- Trying to decide between SteamDeck OLED and Legion Go. Go seems to have more flexibility, but I want to be able to play games unplugged on flights and things, so sounds like SteamDeck might be the way to go for me. Keep up the great work!
BRO YES THATS EXACTLY WHAT IT IS
Very good and honest review. Providing the good, the bad and expectations.
Thaaaaaanks. Just bein real with it
Man... Dang, the review is so peaceful and honest, idk I'm feeling good just watching your video haha
Awe dude that’s so nice of you!!!!!!
Love the videos ❤ 👍
Thank you!
When your showing the pixels on the screens stop for a sec and slow down. Great stuff
Practical, honest and chill. I was thinking about getting one, but after seeing this I realize I’m better off sticking with the Ally. I take this thing everywhere. Guess I gotta wait for the ROG Ally 2.
"the grass is always greener on the other side"
Your ally is amazing and is the best all around
Awesome review my legion go is my baby too 😀
Thank you
How are the TDP Controls on the Lenovo Legion Go in comparison to the Steamdeck? I have a Steamdeck LCD and a ROG Ally Z1 Extreme. The recent update to Armoury Crate is good with the TDP slider. Individial TDP profiles are convenient on the SD. I have a dilemma with choosing between the LLG or the OLED SD.
I am leaning towards the LLG since I want all of my handhelds to be different.
Currently. It still doesn't work... Only way to adjust power is changing power modes (balance, performance, etc.)
I own both the Deck and GO. You should wait a bit tho for more updates and get a used one maybe?
I sold my deck and edc the GO now.
I always thought the screen on the deck was just a bit small. Couldn't play some games without a monitor. The screen is perfect on the GO. Lacking VRR but being able to see a player across the map in a competitive games makes a huge difference. It has 3 sizes for that 16:10 display too. 800p, 1200p and 1600p
to fix the wobble on the controllers, place tape on the black bits from where they connect it will fix the wobble :D nice video!
I gotta try that thanks!
Awesome video!!!
New sub! ☺️
I'm glad I got the Rog Ally. I had a very tough choice for weeks trying to decide if I wanted a Deck, Ally, or Go. But, I'm very happy with my decision on an Ally. Not a single issue since I've gotten it. (1 Month)
@Cyberdopamine
Have a try in setting the GO in the side menu to 1600p and turning GPU Scaling and Integer Scaling on in the Adrenalin (AMD) driver settings, and setting the image resolution in any game to 800p at the same time. Just double checking your games didn't switch back to 800p in the side menu during startup, and stayed at 1600p.
You will see a noticable big difference in image quality and a really way more crisp image as a result, at basically no performance cost ☺️😉👌👍
Does it works on Ally too?
@@rahulmaron I don't own an Ally, so I'm not shore, but if it works (and the screen supports this too, if it even has to support it at all, maybe it just works just like that, always out of the box), then it would be working only at a quartet of the maximum resolution - being 1080p, if I recall right? So it would be 540p in it's 16:9 format (maybe the half exact pixel count works too, I don't know which resolution that would be inbetween the two mentioned..), if a game even supports such low resolutions to be set up 😅 AND if it would be looking good at all at such low resolutions... With the Lenovo at 800p it really looks great, but it also isn't such a low resolution.
Maybe just really calculate the actual pixel count of 1920x1080 and divide it by two and see if there would be such a resolution available, which you can set up for this.
Shiiiiz dude I'm going to try this out when I hop back on my legion go tonight
@@CyberDopamineYes man! Let me know how go How you found it 👌👍
@@CyberDopamineIf you can, try it out without any FSR turned on, to see the real effect, not affected by FSR (it helps also with FSR, just to see the actual result of it, not having additional upscalers interfering additionally).
Just native resolution upscaling to 1600p, compared to 800p when having the GPU scaling and Integer scaling off.
-> If I recall right even already leaving those two options on, and staying at 800p settings in Game, just switching between the LegionSpace side menu resolutions 800p/1600p you can see the difference in direct comparison in the best possible way, right away.
i was looking for the amd adrenaline saturation setting but couldn't find it, could you make a video of all your tips & tricks for beginners with a Legion Go?
Amazing video 🥰 what game are you playing in the beginning?
Which one?
I was wondering too, the game at 36 seconds???
Enshrouded!
Maybe use some soft/calming background music and move mic closer so we can hear you better (without asking you to speak louder)
You included some great info, multiple video clips of the gameplay vs yourself good stuff… but maybe do some more statistics/data charts/testing results related to the topics you are already talking about.
Also whatever device the video is about include an introduction of general description, tech specs and dimensions. Make this last around 30seconds (under 1min) but will help people learn more about the device being covered not just your opinions. I only recommend this because other CZcamsrs do this and I like knowing I can count on that info even if not wanting to watch the full thing.
I have the go, I have several games running in the highest resolution, all purely because I don't understand the settings, yet the look good and run well. Red evil 2 and 3 look stunning. Dirt 4 too
Thats awesome dude
This is amazing!!
I honestly have no hate for this thing. I love it more all the time.
Thanks for video, was going to pick it up but the "battery will drain stress" when playing would kill me if I get this one 😂😂😂
I loved your video! But I must say that the legion go has a better performance in almost every game (compared to the rog ally and steam deck)… take your time and search it up… the battery is the biggest flaw and I completely agree with that. But you can also buy a power bank (I have and I can charge the console 4-5 times). Finally, the possibility to connect it your tv, unplug the controllers and play like a switch, is really cool.
I have been trying to decide if I want to pick one up or not. I thank you for your honesty and opinions. I have decided not to pick one up at this moment. The battery life is really what made my decision. I know you can probably get a power bank to help with that, but the legion is a pretty hefty handheld, and adding something else to the weight isn't ideal. I thank you again
4:55 great demonstration of the ally 😂. A plushie
🤣😋👍👍
It's awesome to see people playing Enshrouded
The lossless scaling app is going to be a huge help for this device.
Just ordered a LeGo. There are a few issues people have raised, I'm hoping that I'll be able to get it past those issues, like lack of VRR, ergonomy, unpolished software, terrible speakers. Will probably end up returning it but it seems promising for Gen1. I'm hoping Gen2 fixes most of those issues or that all competitors will make something better.
How are you liking it so far? did you end up returning it? Just picked one up yesterday, still on the fence. Thanks!
thank you for explain i like the way you talking :)
So nice of you
Playing enshrouded right now. You mind telling me what your settings are?
Regarding the audio , I found out that If you disable the enhance audio in windows settings , it sounds so much better
Great video, i like your revievs, you are talking so smooth and easy. It feels that you are really honest in your revievs. I can't decide to buy Lenovo Legion Go or Steam deck Oled. I had both the consoles and i have offer to buy Lenovo for the little highter price than SD Oled and i don't know what to do. Lenovo annoyed me when i wanted to play NFSU1 or Sacred 2 and the portrait screen was the big issue. Games have a problem to display properly, at first NFS don't even started. I had to search for a way to deal with these issues... And this battery way worse than SD. Touchpad is worse than great trackpad in SD while playing Sacred 2 which is created for mouse native. But this screen in Lenovo, oh God, that is awesome. Diffucult choice.
Bro I would get the Legion go. Because of Longevity!
@@CyberDopamineI choose Legion Go a couple days ago :)
“Immersive” is how I describe the legion go. Especially paired with the GPD G1. With every setting maxed out it’s hard to pull me out of the game/experience
EXACTLY
I adore my legion go since day one. The updates for the battery to charge quicker while playing and also the battery charges SO fast. 40 minutes full charge! Phenomenal! My battery lasts about 3 hours with my settings. I also have the XReal Pro 2 glasses with the XReal Beam which puts the glasses at 144HZ connected to the Legion go is my hook up. So good. I've gotten rid of my steamdeck and Ally. Legion go is my daily driver. I even got rid of my PS5.
How are the Xreals?
Try to enable Enhanced Sync in the driver and disable in-game VSync. That should provide smoother frame-delivery on the Legion GO, and you might even set Frame-rate Target Control to some factor of 144Hz.
Supposedly there’s a rog ally 2 in the works. Sounds promising.
Sadly had to return mine. Couldn't get COD Cold War running with muluplayer and zombies. Idk if you have Cold War but maybe you can do video testing it
Hello, i just got a legion go, and was wondering is it possible to play all the warcraft games on the go? Are they difficult to download to play on the go? Or do you have to use a keyboard and mouse? Thanks
I’m not too sure but I doubt it will be a problem at all
This guys vidoes are chill.
Love the profile pic and your name hahaah
@cyber Dopamine. thank you for sharing your thoughts. i honestly think your review is really good! and there is no need for improvements! credit to you for help me make my decision to buy the legion go ( Really enjoying it ) Warm regards from Singapore!
I lived there for 3 months bro singapore is awesome.
I only wish they add a front camera, and active stylus support for the display (for creative work, it is a tablet after all)... maybe even a fingerprint scanner in the trackpad?
I'm still gonna get one, but I think those 2 things would make this thing the ultimate device honestly.
I love your style of reviewing things. It's like seeing a happy child after unwrapping a Christmas present, far from the specs sheets and performance graphics.
hhahaahahah thats so nice thank you so much
"AWWWWW." The cat is so cute 😍
Have LeGo, love it. I dont think you can go wrong with Ally, Deck or Go, but rememeber Lenovo is the new kid on the block and the other two have had more time to fine tune their machines. ASUS's launch was far from perfect and has greatly improoved, so go e Lenovo time. MSI will face the same thing, with Intel chipset. We will see how good their day-1 system is. Great video!
Agreed. Coming from an ROG ALLY, I could just start the game and play but with the legion go you can’t. You have to tinker with it. And overall ROG ALY just runs smoother and better. But overall I will always go for the go over the ally
Yeah you know how it goes. One day it will all be solved
enshrouded nice i just can't get the same performance i can get from the ally?
What’s game is that, you were playing at the beginning?
If you want better battery life on the Legion Go you can change the RAM frequency to 6400 MT/s. The Legion Go actually performs better at 15 watts and below at that frequency too so if you play on balanced and quiet for games you will get a lot more battery life.
Since you have multiple handhelds, try Bazzite or Chimera OS. Both should now have the drivers preinstalled. Currently TDP will not work with a custom fan curve enabled and vise versa. Less glitches but less games will work due to online-DRM and stuff
I’ve considered doing that and maybe even a video. Have you tried it? If so, does it do a good job of replicating the convenience of steam os?
the biggest drawback of go it's the portrait display and lack of vrr , unfortunately even if they can fine tune the go it will be not so smooth like ally because of lack of vrr
I agree that the speakers could have been better. Other than that, it’s probably the best handheld at the moment. I want to buy a 4 or 8 tb internal hard drive for the legion go.
I'm still really happy with this. My only complaint is every oine of these handhelds still dont come close to button options compared to the deck. I dont undersrand why no one would try to have the same layout as the deck but windows option. 2 trackpads are a must but higher.
