Such a beautiful track! Candyman soundtrack was truely unique within the horror community. It wasn't your typical "OMG SCARY" music. Phillip glass knew what he was doing when he made the score for this movie. He wanted the music to tell a story within its melody and enraptured the audiance. He succeeded perfectly.

It sounds to me like Sadness and Love at the same time, and it makes sense because Helen looked a lot like Caroline and for Candyman it was too much, that's why he persecuted Helen.

This soundtrack makes me reflect on how Candyman is the embodiment of all the injustice that the people of Cabrini Green have suffered (and still suffer today), and that's why it makes me want to cry when I imagine the difficult life of those people...
That’s the idea the 2021 sequel had which in my opinion greatly undermines the legend of the Candyman, he’s not supposed to be a black people’s savior or anything like that. They completely rewrote the character and stripped away what makes him scary
