I would like to point to the Col that this scheme of keeping the best has been tried out many times in the Corporate world. It never worked. The reason is that in reality the not-good guys work together to pull the good guys down. Failed civil admin is the reason why military is handling disturbed areas, hence the incompetent babus are best kept out of all micro issues. Kashmir policy of Modi sarkar is biggest failure due to middlemen role of civil servants out of Delhi including the retired IAS/IPS heropanti.

1. Need to induct more troops to cover hinterlands in J&K, complete LAC, Border with Myanmar and deployment in hinterland of Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram. 2. Need strict codes/guidelines in regards to the usage of mobile networks and other means of communications. 3. Procurement of gears used by SF needs to be monitored more. It will help in acquiring better gears. 4. J&K Police SOG needs to have majority of members from Jammu region. 5. All uniform services must use only bulletproof vehicles and their oil tanks must be bullet proof too. Recent attack on Army in April-2023 was more deadly because fired on Oil tank of the truck which completely halts the vehicle and quickly caught fire. (5 soldiers killed as terrorists ambush Army vehicle in Poonch). 6. Make new villages having only retired soldiers near the border. This will give added line of defense.
Indian army is constrained today very badly. Lakhs of troops shifted to china after 2020. Mountain areas across LOC needs human resource which is badly depleted and now on top of agniveer

I would like to point to the Col that this scheme of keeping the best has been tried out many times in the Corporate world. It never worked. The reason is that in reality the not-good guys work together to pull the good guys down. So, on the ground, the best guys get demotivated & are happy to leave, because they are capable & can get work elsewhere.
Indian Army has sacrificed too many bravehearts armed with phirni and goddamn biriyani for Kashmiri muslim villagers to build ‘Sadbhavna’- on the orders of senior commanders trying to strike off the right note on their resume and check the boxes for a promotion and possibly a stint at the bloody staff college in Wellington. These incompetent Indian civil servants - IAS/IPS are the root cause of terror attacks & military casualties due to unaccountable military decisions by Civil servants.
The ruling BJP political leadership is best advised by empowering military officer's in all military matters.
Failed civil admin is the reason why military is handling disturbed areas, hence the incompetent babus are best kept out of all micro issues.
Kashmir policy of Modi sarkar is biggest failure due to middlemen role of civil servants out of Delhi including the retired IAS/IPS heropanti.

1. Need to induct more troops to cover hinterlands in J&K, complete LAC, Border with Myanmar and deployment in hinterland of Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram.
2. Need strict codes/guidelines in regards to the usage of mobile networks and other means of communications.
3. Procurement of gears used by SF needs to be monitored more. It will help in acquiring better gears.
4. J&K Police SOG needs to have majority of members from Jammu region.
5. All uniform services must use only bulletproof vehicles and their oil tanks must be bullet proof too. Recent attack on Army in April-2023 was more deadly because fired on Oil tank of the truck which completely halts the vehicle and quickly caught fire. (5 soldiers killed as terrorists ambush Army vehicle in Poonch).
6. Make new villages having only retired soldiers near the border. This will give added line of defense.
I recently read that Army sent the report to MOD that they wanna select 50% from AGNIVEER.

Apart from significantly reducing the road distance between Poonch and Uri to just 56 km compared to the current 282 km long revived old Mughal route via the Poonch Valley, Shopian and Srinagar, the Haji Pir Bulge provides a direct ingress to both the Jammu region and the Kashmir Valley. And it is through this since militarily heavy fortified Pass, infamously returned to Pakistan five months after its capture, that Islamabad has been infiltrating terrorists into J&K for the last 27 years.
