    I have some Chinese ladies in my exercise classes who would do this every morning before class. So, I started doing it too. It is great for increase circulation in the lower body too. I appreciate your detailed explanations of what we are working.

    This is ideal for releasing sciatica pain. I do it every morning while the coffee is brewing and it makes a huge difference!

For those of you who were wondering, the synovial fluid mentioned at 2:55 is also known as joint fluid, a thick, sticky liquid that lubricates the knee joint and reduces friction. It also helps cushion the ends of bones and absorb shock. Synovial fluid is produced naturally by the body, but it can decrease with age, overuse, or other factors.

    I love this exercise. I started yesterday and did 50 count each leg and today my second day I did 100 each leg. I will do it twice a day. It's amazing!

    I’m not new to Qigong but I’m not practicing every day. It just so happens I have osteoarthritis in my knees and my left hip has been hurting. I’m walking more though. Keeping a block out will get me moving. This exercise is actually telling me, my hips need work. My left knee and hip are weaker than the other side, so I had to stop a couple of times. What a workout on my gluteus! I can feel my chi open up! I almost have a giddy feeling! Thank you I promise to continue…🙏🏽🙋🏻‍♀️👍🏽Mia

    Funny how we used to do this just for fun as kids! However, I don’t remember it feeling this good.
    I didn’t feel comfortable doing it on a yoga block so I used my stepper instead. I was only able to do 50 this time so I’ll build from there.

    This is a movement I am not familiar with. All of the benefits are good. After perhaps over exercising in a class, I feel tight in knees and hips, I will do this. I am a faithful follower of your QiGong . Thank you LuChin.

    Thank you, I have recently found your videos...first the lymohatic flow one. I have Lympedema in my (mainly left) legs since lymph node removal during major abdominal surgery to remove cancer (and almost everything else!!) and I am very keen to help the lymph continue to flow through my body as I know that lymph blockage is very likely. Already my left ankle and lower leg are slightly larger than my right. I want to keep as active and fit as possible for as long as possible and walking far is not an option.

    A very good exercise! Immediate benefit. I can do it even though I had total hip replacement 5 years ago. (I checked with my PT first.) I do sets of 40 different times throughout the day. Hoping to increase the number each time. Thank you!

      Great job! But don’t rush to increase the number right away. Stay at 40 for at least for a few days (allow of muscle to get stronger and rebuild) then increase the number of repetitions 🙏🤗

      I have to look up the word ‘crepitus’. Now I understand what it is. I have a lot of that myself - my knee, my elbow, my shoulder all making crackling sound. Indication qi is not flowing smoothly through the areas where it makes the crackling sound. There’s no single point to address crepitus.

      @@alanduncan9204 you can swing your elbows, I’m not kidding. Also massage where the paint is at the elbow. People tend to have more pain in their knees joints but not in elbows is because in we most days we swing our elbows often without realizing 😊

      Kegel is a great way to strengthen the pelvic floor. I started doing them in my early twenties, I'm 58. It is very easy to do anywhere! No one knows you're doing them unless you make faces while doing it. 😂 Then they just wonder what you're up to. 😊

      @@tinagrayson9060 I didn’t know what Kegel exercise is, so I had to look it up. But that’s exactly what I do. When teach my qiyoga classes I always cue my students to pull up their pelvic floor with each exhalation during different poses.
      Trying to get in a good habit of always engage the muscles in the pelvic region when breathing out. Try to do it as often as you can remember.

    BTW there is another teacher introducing leg swings ( Mu Yuchun) but he does not advise pointing toe back during the back swing. I wonder what the difference is. Thank you.

    Now it’s 66. I am starting to have some kind of pain in my knees that I never felt before. This is perfect. I do hope this helps me. One question please. Does it matter how high the legs go?

      @@lupechacon-florez7520 Hi, thank you for sharing! It doesn’t really matter how high the legs go. But just remember to keep the leg as straight as you can when swinging back, so you should feel your lower back muscle, the glutes, and the calf muscles are all engaged. This exercises helping me with knees pain, so I’m keeping it up every day.

    Is it harmful to do this movement if I hear crunching in the hip joint and lower back? It doesn't hurt, but I can tell bones are rubbing one another. Please advise. Thank you

      How about try to swing the leg in a controlled motion very slowly, see if the crackling sound disappears. As the qi flow and circulation improves over the joints , the sound should go away. Let me know if it does.

    You said "when you bend , drum on the hip points " but you do the opposite! What's the right exercise? 💪🌱🙏

      You are right. My movements were off sync. Follow what I said, that is easier. However, it works either way even when not bending the knee or the hips.
