  • Welcome back everyone. This video is about my new Bergara B14 HMR chambered in 300 PRC. I will be describing and discussing some of the modifications that I have made to increase the accuracy of an already amazingly accurate platform. One of the things that I forgot to mention in this video is torquing the action screws to 61 inch pounds. The 300 PRC joins my Bergara B14 chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor to complete my version of the “Bergara Brothers.”

    Very good stuff with the info on removing the paint from the contact points

    Forward two points do not come in contact with barrel it's free-floated, so not sure why removing overspray is necessary. I remove the overspray on recoil lugs and action screw's locations. Good video!

    I love this cartridge. Got a Bergara hmr wilderness 300prc and 300prc wilderness ridge. Ridge is for my every other year trips to South Africa. Need the lighter option for chasing plains game

    I would buy one. They are super nice. I love that it is a 26 inch barrel. I just wish it came in 1/8 twist so I could load 245 grain bergers

    For the 300 PRC what nut size did you use for the Ultradyne muzzle break installation?

    Hi brother, I just bought a Bergara 300PRC rifle and I want to set up a riflescope for a high range of distance. I am between two:
    MATCH PRO ED 5-30X56 RIFLESCOPE and VORTEX Strike Eagle 5-25x56 EBR-7C MOA. Are these two useful for this kind of rifle? I am in search of advice, if you can help. Thank you!

    How does paint on the contact points affect accuracy?

    Bergaras are my favorite so far! Did you use the high rings for your scope rings? Thanks

    • @HunterOne_Productions
      @HunterOne_Productions  Před 7 měsíci +2

      I used medium rings. My goal is to keep the scope as close to the action as possible.

    Is there a difference between the bottom metal and mag on the 300 prc vs 300 win?
    I’m a lefty and they only offered 300 win as the largest caliber in a wrong handed rifle, but I’m considering coverting it.
    I may buy a right handed HMR and swap parts.

    Thanks for this video, it's very revealing that you have to tear down the rifle and scrape over spray off of the critical anchor points of the stock, that's some seriously piss-poor quality control at Bergara factory. Hopefully they're watching these videos and paying attention to the crap show coming out of their building.

    I bed all my rifles. The paint in the barrel channel isn’t gonna matter and neither is the underside of the pillars.
