Seriously how does this channel doesnt have 100k subs yet! good job there...keep it up! great content
Thank you, Amit! With the support of you and everyone else, I’m getting there!
I saw bring hats back! When it gets cold or overly sunny I enjoy having a brimmed hat to fashionably keep my head warm/sun out of my eyes without wearing a casual baseball cap or beanie.
Mid century modern architecture never truly went out of style...and the men's suits are my favorite era of menswear. The video I always wanted.
That’s great to hear, thank you!
Nice analysis, I would love one on Roger Sterling and Pete Campbell. Also I liked the Bond video, and here is an idea "what cologne or perfume Bond, Harvey Specter, Don Draper, etc might use?"
Thank you! Roger that ;) That's a really cool idea actually. I believe the author of the James Bond books, Ian Fleming, wore Floris No. 89 Eau de Toilette, which I'm yet to smell myself!
Yes on Roger Sterling
Nice analysis, Mad Men was such a good show! A thing I always found interesting is the interior design. Mid-century has had a massive revamp the last few years and for good reason, with the sleek lines etc.
Yes, I also loved the interior design on the show. Next time I am renovating my home I will go for that type of style!
Excellent video, love the analysis on the casual styles. I’ve worn a pair of Randolph aviators ever since watching Mad Men. His suits were all Brooks Brothers, still an easily attainable brand. 😎
Thank you! Yes you’re right, all Brooks Brothers! And the suits they sell these days look a little more up to date, so the job is done for you!
I would like to see a video like this on John Slattery's character Roger Sterling.
You got it! I love Sterling
The hat was more of a trilby design rather than the classic fedora. And the medium lapel on jackets is still timeless... Just look at Cary Grant. Point of order though, Don had THREE kids.
Haha I forgot about the third one, I don’t think that one was planned between he and Betty was it?
Weeeeellll... you'll have to ask them. All I know is Sally was a handful...
Don Draper actually wore a trilby, not a fedora. It is noticeable by the slant and size of the brim.
As for the style cue of not wearing hats, it depends on how comfortable you are with them. The real issue here is that if you put on an actual fedora with a suit, but you barely ever wear any hats, you might feel a bit self-conscious and that's how it will come off as a bit of a costume. But anyone who wears hats regularly -- even fedoras in the cooler months and panamas in the hotter months -- would tell you that they receive loads of compliments for it. I don't wear them at the moment, but I've seen many people doing even casually -- and it just works.
There's a forgotten practical concern at play here: a felt hat does keep you warm when it's cold and keeps the rain and snow off your head and a straw hat keeps the sun off your head and out of your eyes when it's warm and sunny. We just forgot what it does, but if you're walking a lot outside? Consider it.
Right now is notch lapel popularity in America. You can tell by going into any off the rack store. Peak lapels are best
Roger Sterling for sure! He was always my favorite character in the series, well done!
Mine too! He is so funny and dapper
Roger Sterling 👍👍
Coming up!
The real Don
Who doesn’t love RS?? Well, maybe his ex-wife!😂
After WFH for four years, this channel has been the kick up the backside I’ve needed to put in a bit of extra effort when going out, or even just to Tesco!
Harvey Specter please 🙏🏽
Ok looks like I’m watching Suits this weekend!
Hey Gen Z , really nice video! I was wondering if I could help you with Editing your short videos

A fedora never goes out of style 😉😎
There are two pieces that you brought up that really exemplify what Draper would have worn today that could be used today in either business or casual settings. The blazer or sport-coat, and the tassel loafers. Both have morphed since the 60s into being acceptable as both casual and informal business attire. I don’t have a pair of tassel loafers anymore (Oxford or monk-straps for more formal occasions, and suede chukka boots for business casual), but I do like the look of a pair of good tassel loafers. Like a blazer or good sport coat, they pair well with a shirt, tie, and dress pants as well as dressed down with jeans and an open collar shirt.
That's an excellent point. If I had to copy any look from this video myself, it would be the blazer and tassel loafers. Actually, that's a look that I wear a lot myself! There's something about the pairing that is a little flamboyant while still classic that appeals to me very much
now peter cambpell please 🙏
I dress like 1960 don dapper I do dress like modern for suit
I wear fedora every day when I wear with my suit and tie
This dude is straight up going for a three peat.
Can you do a video about why an emo/goth style works but comes with a perception and what you miss about it but why you like your current look more?
I'm on a mission, what can I say! ;) Okay, that could be interesting. I did plan on doing a new video talking about the 'dark aesthetic' and how that could work with classic style, not sure if you're familiar with that term!
@@Gent.Z in context I think I get it but I am looking forward to all your videos!
