@@Oliver-2103 it's very unfortunate, and I definitely feel fof his wife, but it's also important to remember we don't know the full story. It's annoying, but ultimately non of our business either. I don't fault anyone who's uncomfortable supporting him over what happened, I'm not saying they don't have that right, but just important to remember that we truly don't know all of what really happened.

As a woman who grew up playing football ages 8-14 and then softball and rugby, and was such a hardcore tomboy that I actually became a threat to myself if my mom ever tried to put me in anything girly(because it felt so humiliating), this is relatable. I can't tell you how many times I've been asked if i was gay and my only response is "no I'm actually not.. that would just make too much sense "

I loled so hard at this, even if it did sting a bit. Being the quiet introverted guy that liked poems, reading, and theater, it was hell growing up. Every girl I knew thought I was gay, I didn't have a girlfriend for the first 25 years of my life because the few times I'd put myself out there, ALL of the women would say "You're gay, right? Or bi?" It sucks when you don't exactly fit traditional gender roles, society is just cold. What is the absolute worst though is you expect it from men but women are touted as the more empathetic gender yet they're just as bad as the men are! I didn't know that proper grooming habits, a daily skin regiment, and liking to cook meant I was not straight in the eyes of women 🤣.

I hate how “gender roles” are sometimes mixed in with sexuality. Gender to me is female and male, but hey if you want to be they, them whatever. I can’t be bother to keep up so I just wait for correction. This whole idea that gender determines so much of our personality is ridiculous, just like when you’re group by ethnicity, race, social class, etc...I just assume whatever sexuality you’re probably still won’t like me anyway 😂.

The "gay behavior" thing is really annoying. It's not "acting gay", it's called not letting people bully you into being the traditional "manly man" society expects. The minute a guy isn't talking in a deep voice with long shorts and playing football, people go "oh he's gay". No! He's just not the traditional male stereotypes! Holy batman thank you! I've been struggling with this ever since knowledge of "gay behavior" became part of mainstream culture circa 2014. It gets really annoying when people assume your orientation from completely unrelated things. And assume wrong.
I even checked the science to make sure I was not the only one flamboyant-ish straight man. Nope. 50% of gender-nonconforming boys grow up to be straight, just like 94% of tomboy girls (J.M. Bailey's data). Tvtropes has a slew of articles on gender-atypical people. Asia has heaps of celebrities and bishonen characters girls swoon over. European guys can be soft-mannered...
This stereotype is not accurate and should be thrown into the dustbin of history already.
