My 17 GT was super uncomfortable to drive, I'm 6'1 and had to sit close to the dash and all and it was awkward, knees hit the dash, steering wheel wouldnt go far enough back to make it feel okay, bought this extender and boy did it make a world of difference!! best mod you can honestly buy for these cars... I wonder what Ford was thinking designing the clutch pedal on these cars.... 100% recommend it

Something that helped me a lot was using a hair dryer to heat up the rubber so that it more pliable.
Good idea... I just tried to do this mod with no instruction thinking it would be easy... Totally failed lol.

Great video! I used a dull butter knife, a little Dawn soap, and the clam method and had it all done in less than 20 minutes!

I saw clam and thought..yes calm method cause I'm about to lose it!! But read it wrong lol.... I just tried to install this with no instruction and failed lol
Pick is important. I didn't have one and wished I did. I tried WD40 but resorted to Dawn. It worked better but it got all over it and me! Was really hard to put the pad on and it came apart three times spreading it to put on the pedal. The hook may have made a big different. What did make a big difference was how it worked! Big difference. More distinct feel and complete pedal travel. Totally worth it.

Or use luke warm water and drop the pedals in there and install that way. I did that on my 08 GT worked perfect

This one will only fit Mustangs.
I have an 07 v6 and my throw is already short...I can imagine this not being good at all, for me at least...
KY works really well but will take a while to dry out, or so I'm told.
i placed four 3/8" washers top and bottom bolts to lift up the gas pedal about an inch , clutch pedal is fine at regular height.
Having driven the 2019 GT's now, WHY IS THE THROW SO LONG?! lol I mean it grabs now mid way but it's still tough (because i'm 5'7 ) to modulate. feels like something out of a 944/928 Porsche, but you sit much higher which makes the "attack" angle weird.. or maybe I am just a sucker because i was spoiled with the shorter throw in the Challengers?...
I'm 4'10 and it felt like I was lifting my leg almost 2 foot. I told my husband I could have swore I knew how to drive a standard. I just couldn't get that thing going.
Just installed this and had a few trips on my car. Is anyone experiencing less clutch pedal feel? Also there is a slight movement and does not fit snug.
I would double check everything is tight and the pad is seated properly. Ours feels stock, so much that we traded the car in and I forgot it was even on there.

You can boil it to soften it up
....might keep me from sitting "side saddle"....
Seriously, 45 dollars for this is way over priced
But if you benefit from this mod, it would be the best $45 you ever spent.
