Better Functionality. If you're looking for a way to improve the ergonomics of the clutch pedal in your Mustang, but want something that's higher quality than a plastic extension, check out this SR Performance Billet Aluminum Clutch Pedal Extension. With this upgrade installed, you don't need to move the seat so far forward to get a good feel for clutch engagement, allowing you to put the seat at a more comfortable position. This extension effectively moves the clutch pedal a full 1.5 inches closer to you, making a big difference. You don't have to deal with altered performance characteristics for the clutch, so there's no need to adjust how you drive. You can fit this upgrade on any 1994 to 2017 Ford Mustang with a manual transmission. Strong Build Quality. Considering this clutch pedal extension comes in contact with your foot all the time, it must be durable and strong. SR Performance makes it out of 6010 billet aluminum, which is definitely strong and lightweight. The black anodized finish makes it look great, plus protects against scratching and other damage. Quick Installation. The stainless steel screws you need to anchor this clutch pedal extension in place are included. This is an easy installation that should only take about 15 minutes of your time. The most difficult part is getting the extension to fit over the pedal, because it's a tight fit.

This extender was a godsend. Was able to put the seat back farther for a better driving position and still fully disengage the clutch. Get this one which is made out of solid aluminum billet over the other that's made out of plastic. Only a difference of about $10. A heatgun made reinstallation of the rubber pedal pad much easier.

Big improvement in seating position. I haven't even driven it yet, but I can feel that translate into a very different pedal feel. I'm on the short side, but for taller drivers, this should allow you a farther back seating position keeping your knees off of the steering column. I could have done with half this extension (0.75").

TIP: You will save yourself a lot of time and frustration if you do it the way I did it. Taking the pedal cover off and putting extension on should be no problem. When you put the pedal cover on the extension grab a pick tool. If you don't own a pick tool you can purchase a cheap set on Amazon for 7-10 bucks and then you own a set for future projects anyways. Put the top corners of the pedal cover on the extension. The top corners should go on fairly easily. Then use the pick tool and work your way around the pedal from left to right pulling the inner flaps outward and sliding it on bit by bit. No need to warm them up or any of that nonsense. All in all if you do it this way it should take maybe 10 minutes, probably less. I see people overthinking this installation all the time.
