I lived on a farm in North Carolina after 2 yrs US Army 1972-74 place had 2 lake divided by Co Rd with 48" pipe connecting two lake, bass and what I call pike swam through the pipe, I would stand atop the pipe with recurve 60# bow & fishing rig. Shot many from above, no reel all hand line. that was the best fish hunt ever.

rob you need to come to old river just on the Louisiana side we don't have the alligator gar limit Texas has. you'll get a couple hundred shots a day all gar. plus we drink alot of beer in the act

quick question, im starting to get into bowfishing, have me a brand new bow and ready to go shooting, but what type of line did you use? im going saltwater fishing for spadefish, and if you dont know, they fight. a lot. im talking like 20lbs catfish fight, i wanna know the best line used for the reel for a strong fish
Hey i got a super honey hole for bass fishing on Joe Pool. I use a slingbow for fishing mainly because it allows me to get into tight spots. Fish on!

I live in Lake Macquarie near the reef but sadly it's illegal to fish in the [Great Barrier Reef]

Can you get a sight for a fishing bow
only like 25 feet of string on the bow, sights aren't worth it for the distance you'll be shooting fish. Technically yes tho, suppose you could.

chris upton maybe, mine is the type with a blue bottle that string loops into, wouldn't hold much more. Can't speak for other types tho.
