The most underrated late show host ever. His monologues were funny, his interviews were funny for audience and guest alike, he was witty quick but respectful. A really amazing host.
I always have the biggest smile on my face when watching/or listening to Craig talk. I'd love to have a conversation with him. Only I'd probably freeze up.
@@JoshSweetvale nope. He's just really talented. That's why they're forcing other hosts from other shows to take cues from him. It's truly offensive honestly.
Lemony Snicket to be fair, they're highly controlled. They're specifically told when to laugh and to control/modify how they laugh, and to laugh whether they get the joke or not.
@@fe5018 Not on this show, there were plenty of times where jokes fell flat or the audience didn't get it and there'd be little to no reaction at all. This show was the unicorn of late night TV
Lemony Snicket I love it, he rarely talked about biased politics and actually had creative control, whereas now most comedians can only talk about politics
"well a..could you give him these *raises up soiled swimming trousers* and tell him *stare in a longing, almost satisfied posture*...thanks*smiles* " haha this is hilarious i favorited so many of his episodes i especially love the monologues.
"WHAT? You can't be serious! I AM! What happened? Well, if you shut up I'll tell ya!":P:P:P:P:P Ferguson is my King of Late Night.:) The man's a comic genius.:):):)
This was perfection. Craig is such a fantastic comedian. I'm not sure if Geoff is robbing from his genius or just the next level of it but this was great. Well rounded.
Josh Thompson is very talented and funny, as is Craig. They're friends in real life, and I think the chemistry is organic. I love the voiceovers he does. They make some histeeical segments. Jay Leno fly anyone?
I actually worked a whole day twice @ work, with a power outage! I was working weekends alone in a huge office. I had only two dim lights on either sides of the basement to work by, that ran off the generator. The computer was down & I had to do everything on paper all day. It was spooky. One thing is I had a lot off free time and read all the booklets & printouts I could find. I learned a lot about how the place ran & eventually became a full time float for the office. Those were the best days!
I agree! The problem is I fear that CBS allows him to be so creative with the show because they figure "no one watches anyway," so in a way I hope he doesn't get the 11:30 slot b/c if he does, CBS will try to change the creative format to make it more "11:30-friendly."
When cnn did their little late night documentary amazed me how they basically didn’t mention Craig or how he went head to head w Conan and best him in the ratings often
I adore Craig and appreciate this posting. He is brilliant. I’m sorry I didn’t watch him while he was actually on tv. I just wish I didn’t have to listen to the exaggerated laughter, especially that one woman. Yikes! It’s like the audience is laughing but not listening.
For those who didn't get the pun of "Going Antiquing", when Ferguson mentions getting tired of Muscle Beach after five hours", he is using the terminology in the Colloquial Sense to refer to youth engaging in sexual intercourse with an elderly person.
ive been a fan. This is the first time i am watching him drunk. And it makes so much sense. It's like i get him like never before. We're on the same frequency. makes sense with all his alcoholic past.
Same with me. I always liked Craig, but I would always watch Conan, only occasionally flipping to Craig between commercials. I watch Craig every night now. Do you watch The Tonight Show with Conan?
I laughed so hard, it became some kind of painful endurance exercise. I kept having to pause the video to keep from passing out. Well, that what it felt like anyhow.
@@manz007 No, he's done a miniseries about his return home where he openly apologized for hating Scotland, said how wrong he was and how it was all just fine and it was down to him and his attitude and drug abuse as a youth. Hobo Fabulous is the series.
That's the difference between an experienced stand-up comedian/comedic actor and an old blasé and boring talkshow host who never writes his own jokes. Leno is the same way. He couldn't be funny even if he tried.
But Leno is an experienced comic. His monologues and segments were good. I'd rather contrast this to Kimmel, Meyers, Fallon, and Colbert. Those guys can't deliver, write, or talk. Of course, Craig is multi talented and conversational. He's up there with Dick Cavette and Carson. Conan is okay sometimes too, but too shallow and predictable for my taste.
@Keeby12 Umm... Conan and Jimmy Kimmel are MUCH funnier than Craig Ferguson. Although Craig Ferguson and Jay Leno are MUCH funnier then Letterman and Jimmy Fallon.
His roof leaks, power outage, camera glass breaks and nothing can stop him, because he is an improv genius...
You do know that every late night show has writers right? Not that he's not a great improvisator
@@LordMarlle You do know that Craig famously didn't have writers or any prompters. It was mostly just him and hisimprov skills.
@@samuellrodd1214 it wasn't that he didn't have writers or prompters, he just famously ignored them and did whatever he wanted

I miss Craig.
The best talk show host ever. Certainly the best interviewer.
SO much... 😭😭😭
I love this man: not only he can pull off this show with a power failure but he also does one of the best monologues I’ve heard. priceless!

He has all of these lined up. If and when it comes to it, his conversation jokes are probably designed to be reacted to.

I think Craig is the best out of all of the Late night hosts still on air today.
