Ay, a variant. Always nice to see them.

As a fan of ancient history, this variant is quite interesting! Planning to try it soon and if I draw the Romans, I will beware of Greeks bearing gifts! Another great video and Happy New Year!

I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I plan on doing another Mediterranean variant video sometime in the next month or so (it's a variant map based on the ancient Greek city-states and Troy, created by one of the FloridaMan community, which we played on Discord), so I hope you'll stay tuned. I couldn't resist the Greeks bearing gifts thing here, but in the other game, it's even more appropriate, because I played as Troy...
Good luck when you try this map, and happy New Year!

I can't say I enjoyed receiving that gift, but I'm glad someone enjoyed the reference.
      Happy New Year!

Thanks for doing another video from a losing perspective! Your commentary on such videos is really helpful for new learners of the game such as myself.

Glad they're helpful! I don't like losing very much, but they do tend to be among my more educational experiences.

Interesting recap. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to first betray Greece, then Cartage

I know this incredibly late but I think you have triggered a response from greece by moving your army to illyria.
