Just a heads-up for anyone using this shifter on a 2019 challenger.. Add some newpaper in the hole of the shifter due to its to deep.. Great videos guys, installed in 20 mins
Thanks
Great video love when people know what the hell they are talking abouut and make all details known stayed on subject
Thanks for the comment. I try to keep things simple and to the point
The middle console honeycomb dash, is OEM or where can I find that?
It looks amazing
I have the Hurst in mine
Love it
That Barton looks good though 👍
I kinda like the stock one's but aftermarket is a lot better I'm sure the Hurst looks really good also
@@DomsRusticGarageMore I agree, those new OEM shifter handles look way more high-end nowadays and not sure I could bring myself to replacing it. I can justify putting it on mine, though, because mine's just the crappy 5-speed handle, lol.
damn have to have it . nice install vid boys
Thanks. It was pretty easy
I’ve seen some people wrap the shifter in a towel before hiding it away, do you recommend that ?
I will definitely wrap it in a microfiber cloth. Then it doesn't slip in so deeply and it doesn't rattle either.
In an automatic Challenger do you lose the “auto stick” feature with this installation?
No
So quick question, I did this and managed to somehow get the service shifter message after plugging the factory shifter back in does it take a while for the fault to clear, or did I miss something.
No we didn’t have any problems. Maybe yours came unplugged when you tucked it back it. ?
I’m not sure
I think you were right. I rechecked to make sure it was all snug and the fault went away and it's working perfectly! Shared your video in a Facebook group today appreciate the quick response!
Hey no problem and thanks for the sub and sharing it. I appreciate it
Can you tell me...is your Barton handle in the video black or gun metal grey color? I’m trying to buy the same color scheme. Thanks.
Gun metal with a black insert
@@DomsRusticGarageMore cool. Thanks. Looks great
@@natequan No problem You won't be disapointed
Can anyone shift the car into gear without starting the car ?
Do you lose the “auto stick” in a Challenger automatic by installing this?
No
He really enjoys it
Thanks Dom- do you “manually” shift
Can you manually shift using the “hurst stick” or do you have to use the “paddles” to manually shift?
@@eugenefierro6429 yes you can
Where can I buy it
He bought his from Barton Industries
So is this shifter better than the stock shifter?
Yes it’s pretty damn cool to have in Although it does get a bit warm
Dom's Rustic Garage & More what do you mean by warm?
@@gerardocarrillo2548 it gets a bit warm nothing hot
Dom's Rustic Garage & More but because of the sun ? Or does the car make it warm?
@@gerardocarrillo2548 it’s metal on metal. The heat from the transmission is causing it to heat because it’s metal
Something about the old shifter being under that gear console is kind of gross
Ya you kinda forget about it being in there
🤣😂 NO!!!
why the fuck would you put this on an automatic? xDDDDD
