$69k for a gorgeous truck other manufacturers are charging $80-90-100k for. Wish Nissan had held the line and kept it in production.
Its because they so stubborn to upgrade their interior...especially the dashboard
You can get them for about 10 grand less than that price
@@scottmendoza8989not this one
Bought a GMC Sierra AT4 Duramax for 66k, you can absolutely do better than this outdated Nissan.
@@HughMongasWhat curious what you think is outdated?
Bought my 24 Titan XD last September and love it. Love the fact that it doesn't have that stupid cylinder on and off crap. This truck isn't trying to be anything but a truck!
I bought a 23 Titan XD just like the one in your video, what a wonderful truck!
I got a 23 nissan titan pro-4x!! I love it!! MSRP was for $59k and walked out the door at $34k. Traded my 2010 Tacoma and I honestly should have bought a Nissan a lot time ago!! Toyota holds nothing to Nissan!!
Great review as usual Ben - I'm one of the people who scooped up a 2023 Titan Pro-4x back in the summer and have yet to regret a single thing about the truck - price was more than fair (still high, but with 0% interest it blows any of the big 3 out of the water), features are all nice and familiar without gimmicks, and the bones of the whole thing are just well laid out and proven at this point, unlike the big 3 who feel the need to do a redesign of the oil-pan every 2 years... Shame to see them going, but like you mentioned, when you look at the sales #'s it's sad but makes sense. Part of me hopes that the Frontier tries to keep the spirit of the Titan alive somewhat, but we both know they're fairly different models at their core for a reason.
5 years/100k warranty is also pretty nice. It shows they are confident it will last
Agree! I was watching Ben's reviews on Titan and got me to get one.
Shame nissan is getting rid of these, these trucks are one of the few things from nissan i'd be interested in. Oh well.
Hi Ben, great video! I say it every single time, this is my dream truck. I hope I can own one someday!
Just picked up the same truck in deep blue pearl, a 2023 end of year sale. Prior to my purchase, I had been researching trucks since earlier last summer and for the price and what you get, the big 3 don't compare. To get leather, I would have to move up to a Lariat or Laramie trim and spend an easy $10K+ more. And a 3/4 ton from the big 3? Forget a bout it, you'll need to bring a Brinks truck full of money. Didn't really need an XD to pull my 2,600 lb boat on a 900 lb trailer but I wanted the Titan boxes and would rather have the 6.5 ft bed, my current '09 Frontier has the 5 ft bed and that has been my biggest gripe, come to think of it, with 215K miles on the Frontier, really my only gripe. That and my Frontier is a RWD. May keep them both. Thanks Ben.
My exact dream truck. I won’t be able to get it though new so I’ll have to settle for a used one in three to four years.
I test drove an almost identical one a week ago. Great driving truck and a lot more value for the $ than the big 3 or Toyota. The 5th wheel set up is basically useless, it doesn’t have the payload capacity for 95% of 5th wheel campers. Don’t compare this to a 2500, it’s not even close in terms of capacity.
With all that being said, I loved the truck. Just needed the dealer to be a little more aggressive on negotiating. Just like with the Xterra… Nissan and consumers won’t know how much this is missed until it’s gone. But same story - low volume sales and not enough investment in new innovations or looks.
That's weird a lot of ppl in the titan forums use this to pull 5th wheels it has over 2k of payload.
@@scott8238 just because it can, doesn’t mean you should. Once you calculate the hitch weight and the weight of people and “stuff” in the truck. You will find a in most cases you are over the posted payload capacity of the truck.
@@andrewb981Nissan downrated the truck, it’s got bigger brakes than a f250, the gooseneck hitch is rated for 30k, the 1st gear is a real low gear so you can pull hills no problem, it’s got load range E tires. Hotshotters use this truck and tow 15-17k daily on a gooseneck.
I like the Titan trucks. Last year for these is 2024.. Bummer.
perfect review
Nice truck…👍
Looks like those side step trails look short for the XD. Don't they extend more toward the rear to access the bed? I could be wrong though.
I like the Titan XD for the pulling power and 6' bed but wish they offered a bigger fuel tank for longer runs. The is no 6' bed on regular Titan unless you get a King Cab Model but still does not have a bigger fuel tank
A fuel injected V8?
Wow! Take a picture so later in life you can prove things like that existed
Love the xd. Only suggestion is one move the column shifter to the center console. Two take the organizer out that’s under the back seat. I would rather have a flat area below for hauling. For those that like it offer as an option.
I recently bought a 2018 Nissan XD with the Cummins in it 4 months ago. First Nissan Titan I’ve owned and I absolutely love it. Sad to see Nissan get rid of a great product. If Nissan wasn’t so lazy at there marketing the truck would be a great competitor. I solely blame Nissan for this. Also the Cummins is a great engine. Just like any diesel now days if you don’t know how to drive it or maintain it than yes it will be unreliable. As far as mine goes it’s my daily driver and it now has 105,000 miles with zero issues. The only complaint I have with my truck is the wind noise is a bit loud but other than that I love the truck. Not sure what I will do when I decide to get a different truck now that these will be obsolete.
I have this exact same truck (2023) in pearl metallic blue, but with the monitors in the front seat headrests and the kicker boom box, all the other options are identical. It was one of the last 2023 the dealer had on the lot. My understanding is that the 2024 is the same truck. The $69K sticker price is misleading, I purchased my truck during the Christmas/End of Year sales and got a fantastic deal on my truck. For what I paid I would have had to settle for a slightly higher priced Big Horn Ram or an XLT Ford with the lower trim level from the big 3. I'm upgrading from an '09 frontier that has 215K miles and has been trouble free.
How much off the sticker did you get?
Sad to see it go as it was a underrated truck but Nissian didn’t put enough effort in to make it competitive with the other manufacturers, came very close to buying one myself in Canada until it got cancelled here back after the 2021 model year.
The issue was lack of marketing by Nissan since the Titans inception in 2004.
It's competitive just has terrible marketing to show it's competitive
They took rawr XD and made it a truck
I can’t imagine being behind this and reading XD idc how big your truck is I’m not taking it seriously
Ben, although not directly related to this Armada video, I have a question about the IRS section 179 expense deductions for 2023 they change in 2024. On a recent video, I recall you mentioning why trucks with a GVW greater than 6,000 pounds get afforded some preferential tax treatment for 2023 they disappear in 2024. I realize that you are not a tax advisor but was just hoping you could elaborate a little more on this point for section 179 expenses for 2023 and if buying is better than leasing or if it doesn't matter. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you, your wife, and your little baby girl!
Have a Titan XD platinum and it’s the best vehicle I have ever owned. Nissan needs to reverse there decision on these so I can buy a new one in 2 years .
My only concern is longevity of parts. Nissan is notorious for ending parts production after 10 years. It happened to my QX80 where they could not even get suspension parts after 10 years, and I had to downgrade to the Armada suspension to even drive it out of the dealership. I sold it after that knowing what was to come parts wise.
Cool truck and I love it
I'm not sure. Just finished rebuilding my '04 ram 2500 cummins. This titan has same payload, a couple thousand less towing, but the biggest issue is the axle ratings for me. That's before we get to the fact that this loaded P4X weighs 200 lbs. more than that SLT Laramie. Looks like the price of this compared to new rams is the selling point, & whether you really need the capability of a half ton or 3/4+...
Man… what a value
Titan XD has a GVWR above 8501 lbs. It's a 3/4 ton truck.
8800
Hey there, ypu mentioned towards the end that "the Titan is more reliable than the Undrs or anything the big 3 put out," could you elaborate on that?
Is this just referring to the naturally aspirated engine, or are you pulling from some other info?
key practical difference between XD and regular Titan is 6.5 foot bed for XD instead of 5.5. It has a 5 yr 100k warranty. The XD also for some reason doesnt have power folding mirrors.
Could not care less about power folding mirrors.
You do if you need to close them to fit into a garage@@przemeksledziewski1973
Ben, thanks for the video. Question. If it was your money: Nissan Titan XD or Ram 2500 gas?
Nissan all day long
Depends on your needs. If you tow a lot and over 10,000 lbs, go for 2500. If not, go for Nissan. Price alone and the 0% interest is an icing on the top and the specs too. I’ve owned a 23 p4x XD and love it.
Ben Hardy I think I no why Nissan is cancelling titan the titan doesn't have the same smaller engine like ford & gm & also the titan doesn't have the HUD display
Nice.
Attack on Titan XD. Forever.
I see talk and you tube videos on a 2025 redesign
👍
So why can't the Titan share the TT V6 with the upcoming new gen armada?! Then it would not be going extint
I think low sales are why it’s going
They don't advertise it, they let it get old before updating it. They always update to current standards, not future standards. They don't make the halo "look at me" truck. This truck is great. I own one and love it. But nobody else even knows what it is.
@@fubarmedic4222 Thats great. My uncle recently got a 2019 sv midnight edition with the 4x4 package
How noisy is this truck compared to an F150?
👍👍👍
Lucky Americans they can still get their hands on a Titan the truck has been dead for years in Canada.
Nissan need to redesign the car it's old and make different styles of engine 3.0_ 3.5._3.8._4.0_.4.2.liter. Engine options.15 inch touch screen updated technology . and different suspension and option for styling and nismo version 1till version 5 .800bhp
whats new for 24?
Same truck as the 2023
Gone too soon 😢😮
What really changed 23 to 24?
no change
At the exact moment in history when we need more options.....Nissan kills this truck. WTH.
It’s a great looking truck. My problem is I just don’t trust anything Nissan makes anymore.
Two of their engines are falling apart (1.5l 3cyl and 2.0) and under investigation.
And their transmissions are notoriously crap.
Nowadays, if soemthing is actually affordable (cheap) there’s a reason
Not sure what makes this a "heavy duty" truck. My f150 has the same payload and can tow more. And $70k for a Nissan. No thanks
Really I think this truck is just a good truck by a brand with a very bad reputation at the moment.
It just doesn’t compare to the big 3 whatsoever. Tech wise, engine options, capability
Worth $45k…..maybe 🤷♂️
Talk slower, do not run words together. Your telling a story, do your best country western imitation.
