He never actually says when to change it lol. At how many miles should you change your transmission fluid? Simple question just requires a simple answer.
The first fluid change is the most important and you should do do it right after the initial break in from new which should be at five thousand miles. You should also change the engine oil 1000 miles after new purchase. Once you've completed the first break in services, then do Transmission every 30,000 miles and change engine oil every 5,000. You will save yourself the worry and eliminate the possibilities that you didn't do what you're supposed to do to keep your car for 300,000 miles
So when you get the transmission fluid changed at the KIA dealership do you think they just do it once and you have like 50% old oil in their still? they only charged like $300 Canadian for changing the transmission fluid LOL, I just had my gearbox and rear differential fluid changed today, but at a local mechanic. I have a 2019 Kia sorento, it says to change the transmission fluid at like 100,00km so I did it at like 107,000km by the time I got into the dealership. I wonder if I should get it done at my local Mechanic again maybe at 150,000 km ?... Also When I get spark plugs do you think I should go to dealership (it says in my manual to change spark plugs at 150,000km) or do think the local mechanic will be okay? I'm paranoid about KIA engines + aftermarket part's.
How many quarts, in regards to Kia Optima hybrid 2017
30k miles or sooner depending on driving scenario. Stop and go commuting, city driving etc are considered severe driving scenarios. I personally change mine religiously roughly around 10-13k miles. My transmission shifts smooth and consistently.
I purchased mines certified pre-owned at 25k miles in summer 2020. It's a 2018. I have never changed the trans fluid and I'm a little over 132k. Would you advise to change it or leave it? There's no problem with the transmission, that I can tell. Just curious if it'll cause issues for waiting this late
@@adictiveadictiveyes absolutely I would also do a filter change and flush not a power flush just drain fill then run through gears to mix old fluid with new then change again till clean

Hello can you tell which oil is better on the automatic transmission
Use ATF with SP-IV rating. Just look on the back of manufacturer's bottles, it is printed on them.
My Kia Mohave has been jerking. But Kia want to hurry and charge me a huge sum for working on the valve body.I asked them to change the oil first and also speed sensor but they said it would destroy the gear, that I stand a 50-50 chance. How true is this?

If it has like 200k miles it’s already shot if you never changed the fluid alot of the time with that is the clutch material and debris will be the only thing giving enough friction to go into gear
60 k most ppl say 100 k but bye then U cant flush it & it might have problems

Wait wtf I just wait for your answer? And where I can get the original tramission oil. And how miles that car have already? Can I used valvoline ATF ? My kia have 123k miles and I believe last owners never change the transmission oil…. The kia is running great but when is too cold like -20 F I can hear the transmission gears when I start the car so I trying to drive less than 2 RPM to warm the transmission fuild and engine oil too..
Valvoline Maxlife ATF synthetic or any ATF with SP-IV rating. Which is the specification for Hyundai/Kia 6spd auto trans.
What happened when you changed it?
My dealer says all fluids should be changed. 50k miles. cost $200 plus labor.
200 including labor isn’t bad without labor included at that price is a rip off
