Which performance of Vivaldi's "Sol da te, mio dolce amore" do you prefer? 0:00 Max Emanuel Cenčić 7:41 Sonia Prina 16:29 Filippo Mineccia 25:31 Philippe Jaroussky
I need to think about it and many times. What I have no doubt about is that the content of this channel is a true treasure. Thank you and good luck in everything you undertake.
Wonderful aria! Breathtaking 4 quite heterogeneous versions. Not previously knowing this aria, straight fell in love with Cencic's most interesting version, then Prina brought a distinctive beautiful feeling. My heart choice today has to be Mineccia.
He's the best music I've ever discovered, a hidden gem. His vocalizations are normal and stretch out comfortably. His songs have more Soul than Artistry. He is the epitome of a male Countertenor.
I think they are all good in their own way but Jaroussky makes it sound so light and angel like. I can imagine this how it may have sounded. If not I’m sure Vivaldi would have been happy.
Congratulations, gentlemen! I’ve always wanted to encourage countertenors. They have courage; it’s not easy for men to sing high notes, and when they do it well, we should all be thrilled. I’ve admired the fine work some women have done in trouser roles, but I love seeing men in men’s roles. The only reason those roles used to be taken by women exclusively, in all of the 20th century and later, was that it seemed men couldn’t sing those roles well. Originally the roles were taken by castrati. Now, lo and behold, men can take those roles without surgery, which we need not dwell upon. Thank you very much, they can do it. They’re doing it with their manly determination. Amen.
Philippe Jaroussky is the best I don't like darker voices in this role, but I have to admit that Filippo also was very captivating! On the other hand Max was like he couldn't connect with the idea intended to be transmitted through this aria, which was totally unexpected.

EXCELENTE .🤩💕💕🌹🌹LILIANA BLANCO ARGENTINA
I found that Cencic's version moved me as the others did not, and this was partly due to the much superior conducting, pacy and with plenty of rubato. But I loved the timbre of Max's voice, too.
Being an impartial judge at a music competition must be terribly hard (almost to an impossible degree)...4 world class singers sing the same "aria" and yet, what one notices at first glance are the errors of the flutist, the forced "un-natural" depth/low pitch of Sonia Prina (she is the only woman and thus it would be normal for her to have a higher pitch in a contra tenor role), while the most "melodic" (the one to "squeeze" the most music out of this particular piece), in my opinion was Phillipe. I think it is positive to just hear the voices and the music, because one tends to be "attracted"/distracted by the visual (costumes, poses, attitudes, etc. of videos...)

Filippo
Jaroussky is the best for me, sentimentally speaking
For me Filippo. He sings which such profound humble and beautiful emotions
They are all wonderful interpreters of this magnificent musical work by Vivaldi, but for me personally, Philippe Jaroussky. Thank you.

I love Prinas dark granite strength and Jarousskys effortless, agile serenity.

Mineccia ❣️
I come back to this wonderful video! Excellent! This video deserves MORE views!

Filippo Mineccia without any doubt.
Philippe Jaroussky avec Jean-Christophe Spinosi et ensemble Matheus.
Mineccia for his interpretation and Jaroussky for his effortless technique and perfect tones.
I love this aria. I used to prefer Jaroussky but after hearing Mineccia’s passionate performance, I am very impressed.

Tellement difficile de sélectionner : Filippo Mineccia et Sonia Prina le contre ténor et la contralto !
Tous sont excellents, dans un style différent.
I found that Cencic's version moved me as the others did not, and this was partly due to the much superior conducting, pacy and with plenty of rubato. But I loved the timbre of Max's voice, too.
Who plays Vivaldi's "Sol da te, mio dolce amore" best?
Ensemble Matheus

And then there's also the performance of Carlo Vistoli that I like so much...
