Awesome video thinking about getting one of these intakes myself and this answered one of the questions i had about it
Awesome video and explanation!
Trick worked great, 400 miles no Check engine light, thank you!
Very cool...I'd love to jave one of those intakes on my 2500hd 6.0.
Great vid thank you
This is AWESOME!!!! I always thought the same thing...why can't you run the second TB as a slave unit? I spoke with Edelbrock,Holly, Haltek and they all wanted me to buy the $2k ecu's!!! OZMO was the closest to having this sorted out but they no longer sell their unit, and the other brand currently out there I don't trust. This is the only thing keeping me from doing the swap. Now after seeing this video I have hope again and am excited about the Holly Sniper intake manifold!!! My Credit card is now going to know the meaning of pain!!!!😁😁😎😎😈😈😈
Awesome info! I'm looking at doing this manifold on my 06 LS2 Corvette. I'm thinking about building a T so that I just use the one stock TB, then T off to each side with a short radius mandrel bend and another one to make the turn into the manifold. I think that would solve a lot of problems. I still need to verify with Holley that it will fit under the hood.
Wouldn't that defeat the entire design of this intake manifold
Great video, thanks. Any link or part numbers for the extension, Holley fuel rail adapter & Holley mount for the alternator please this would be a huge help & much appreciated.
have a question I just installed one of this intakes and want to use the MAF sensor with dual throttle body's connected into one with MAF sensor at the end and connected both planum into one MAP sensor. my question is after you installed the intake did it turn on and idled somewhat idling i know it needs tuning but will it idle after the intake because mine wont stay on at all.
Do you have a link to that throttlebody harness extension you got?
Also whered did you source your plastic intake tubing and couplers i was just going to put filters on the TBs but i already have a rotofab on the DS figure id run a cold air on the pass side to mirror would look better

Do I need a cross-ram? No.
Do I desperately want one? Heck yeah.
I have mine almost ready to bolt on I'm going with two stock throttle bodys off truck manifold, what I'm most curious about is how's your throttle response? Im pretty damn excited to experience it.
It really depends on how the tune is set up when I was running higher timing Yes it was crazy at times and my wife would not even drive it not even move it and she use to drive it all the time but she was terrified of it with the new engine with cross ram lol. I cant wait until I get it back on the road with new setup with some Boost! Jonsen bad...
What brand and size injectors are you running?
Thanks for the video. Unfortunate for me I recently purchased the dual throttle controller. I was told the ECM senses too much voltage drop with the two DBW motors and doesn’t work. Obviously you were able to tune around it. My build is a LS2 out of a TBSS with LS3 heads. Any advice on the tuning side would be excellent as not many tuners have experience with this setup. Thanks again!
Yea that is how they sell those tb controllers voltage drop bs. I never experienced any issues with that and did not have to tune around it in anyway . As for tuning are you using HP tuner ? and do you have an AFR gauge ? I use the AEM gauge it has data link to obd connector so the hp tuner could pull the data to adjust the VVE graph. as for advise lower timing tables at least 5-8 deg and fatten it up and work your way back slowly , I would be happy to help you by looking at the tune file if you can send it. thanks for the comments look forward to seeing yours running. Tony
I have the AEM failsafe wide band and have plans to link it with an electrically actuated manual boost valve that allows for 2 settings. If actuated it will open the waste gate. Single 76mm turbo. Maybe old school but seems to be the most simple way to be safe tuning myself. I have a 6L90 trans so I’m stuck with the T43 ECM. Plans are to probably use HP tuners. Thanks for the advice and post on this.
How did you run the vacuum plumbing and MAP sensor. Also did you have to advance the timing significantly to compensate for the increased air n fuel. Very nicely done btw.
This manifold has about 5 vacuum ports on the inner rear section. I ran a hose from each side to a Vacuum T to another hose and slid the hose over the map sensor nipple and clamped it. It just sits under the intake. As for timing this setup liked lower timing it spun less and pulled harder and longer. Thanks
Which pins are the ones used on the secondary throttle? Doing the same set up right now. Wasn't sure which trottles to use, so planning on use the same ones now!! Thanks in advance
It really depends on your ecm, year, model 6pin or 8 pin harness.
I’m putting same setup with mechanical throttle bodies in a C10x, what set up do u have for your alternator. Etc, what year is your truck?
Mines a 07 I used the Holley low mount alt bracket I had to move alt down and power steering up.
Just got my holley cross ram for my ls3 would you mind if i messsge you if u run into any trouble with the wiring? What style or part number for the pig tail are you running ill be going out to summit to get the extension and pigtails
You can message me that's fine
The pigtails depend whether you're using a 6-pin or a 8 pin throttle body.
So I see how this starts out in sync... The computer fully closes the throttle body against its stop and then when it gives power to open they both open from the same position... But if one throttle body sees more load than the other, I could see it one slowly drifting out of spec from the other...
Do you ever see an issue of one side coming out of sync with the other? Do you log both TPS sensors (Even though you're only using one in the tune) so that you can compare the two and see if they're staying in sync or you just assuming that they're working the same?
I would take one of the factory inputs that you can remap in HP tuners like the AC pressure or something like that and just temporary connect to it to make sure it doesn't actually drift.
I never had an issue with the throttle body at all even Holley only uses 1 sensor for both fly by wire bodies on their setups. That info is what made me disconnect the second bodies other wires.
Could you please make a how to video for the CZcams mechanics, thanks in advance
I currently want to do the same thing to my single cab, can i can buy a set of 2 nick Williams 102
L throttle body and buy that wiring and just figure wich wire is wich?
Yes
Just ordered 2 acdelco 6 pin tb pigtails and a icb TB harness extension going to pick them up from summit tommarow afternoon anything else I should grab while im there
Air temp sensor I ordered mine for a 2000 Pontiac firebird V6 3800 with the rubber grommet that it's snaps into.
@@animaltbss9439 is the air temp sensor needed for something with the wiring? My application is a 416 LS3 in a 2012 Camaro i already have a IAT sensor
What did you do about MAP signal? Where did you get manifold vacuum? Both plenums or both?
The intake has vacuum ports all the way towards the rear . So I T them together and ran at hose to the map sensor
@@animaltbss9439 do you have to T them both together ? i think one will work or it wont ?
You think this intake with a twin turbo set up hurt endless feelings?
I hope to find out one day soon.
How’s it going bro.. can I ask you a few questions on your Holley duel intake?
Wassupp
Are you drive by wire or drive by cable,?
Can you provide the TB’s link please thanks
looks like this one is unavailable but grab the part numbers and do some searching just make sure it fits your setup! > www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JG1DVQT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
What did you do about the throttle position sensors ?
They are in the throttle body that's why you only wire up 1 completely
@Animal TBSS Would you say that the upgrade to this intake was worth the money? Did you notice a big difference in performance?
I was searching for something different and wanted it to make great torque and hp up to 7500 and it does that. not to mention how fin cool it looks. It is worth it to me if that helps, I am putting another one on a Caprice build in the near future
@@animaltbss9439 Nice. I'm thinking about putting one on my Riviera.
Would you be willing to recreate one for a brother please?
What bout mass airflow sensor
Are you running dual MAF? Speed density?
No maf it's a speed density tune
Ok cool. Thanks. Btw what cam are you running with the intake?
@@77TE31 btr stg 4 truck cam but that being upgraded right now. I currently have the truck apart for upgrades.
Looks like you could get water in your K&N filter. If it was raining and you ran through a deep pothole full of water, the engine could suck enough water to hydro lock some of the cylinders and bending some connecting rods,,,,,,,,,,,, OUCH !!!!!
Yea if you ran it into a lake sure it would.
Is the throttle touchy?
Before any throttle body adjustments in ecm YES very I toned it down with lower timing down low.
It is 11.082 inches in height, 19.4292 inches in width. Might be hard to fit under a stock hood of a 68 Camaro 🤔.
