Maybe I do believe in love at first sight after all. | Jess & Sam's Cutten Fields Wedding

Sam and Jess met when they were eighteen at a bar in Kitchener called Stampede Coral through one of her bridesmaids and best friends, Natalie (we shot her wedding too… watch it here: • This groom will make y... ). They talked through text for a couple of months before they decided they wanted to spend time together. They dated throughout University, and both went to Guelph, so it's special that they got to celebrate their big day here! Right out of University, they moved to Calgary, where they really started their lives together on their own and grew together. They had never lived with each other before this point, so it was a big step for them! They’ve been out west for over four years, and they have been the best years together. Last October, Sam took Jess to the mountains, to his favourite mountain after a very long walk, and proposed in front of his favourite mountain (Mount Rundle). They are each other's best friends, and they joke about spending probably way too much time together, but they both cannot imagine it any other way.
They flew into town for their wedding, especially excited to see all their favourite people in one go. After years of living in a different province, this was an extra special element of their day. Jess said, “Just celebrating our relationship with our closest friends and family. We aren't extravagant people, but it's more about coming together, especially when we don't see everyone often!”
We shot their engagement session in Elora at the Elora Gorge and downtown by the Elora Mill. They got ready at the Delta Hotel in Guelph, shared a private first look and letters at The Arboretum in Guelph, and married at Cutten Fields.
The day was all about the people, and there was so much laughter and joy, and it was such a delight for us to be a part of it and capture it for these sweet friends. Congratulations, Jess and Sam, you guys are amazing!
