For those of you who aren't being invaded, do the following:

I've also found that reusing the Furlcalling Finger Remedy seems to help.
If you're trying to invade in this area and people are abusing the afk - either invade somewhere else or get an angle on them with the Jar Cannon!

Not patched. People just stopped invading there. And the ones that do always get the kills. The first step is largely only used as a gank spot for farming runes
here is my fav rune farming method:
-put down summon in front of boss fights
-wait for ppl who need help to summon you
-have a great time beating the boss together
-getting runes for killing an actual boss and playing the game while helping others who struggle
10/10 best rune farming!
yeah except you get almost nothing for that, I really dont like this afk strategy but between wasting days of my life and minutes of someone else's... well I stll cant decide yet, all this stupid fromsofts had to do is some good honest farming spot like giant lord in ds2 or piligrim speedruns in ds3
@@kiemugen9830 I honestly don't even farm runes it's more of a nice side effect because the main thing for me is to see others celebrate when we finally beat that boss they have been struggling with. It's the most rewarding thing for me and I love fighting those bosses. I check the areas for the most blood stains or the group posts what they are struggling most with.

I was summoned to help with the manor and it was a blast! We killed Loretta together! :D Plus you get runes even if you aren't the one making the finishing blow to the enemy. The whole party gets rewarded. ^_^

@Pxcasso there are multiple ways. Find his location and get creative. Gravity well is fun if they are exposed enough, spell parrying your own spells into him, use explovie great arrows or breath attacks into the ground as they pass through. My favorite is the suicide bombing them with the flask by timing my fall.

For anyone looking to counter this method, there are breathe spells that can be cast mid air and pause your falling when casted. Makes it pretty easy to pick off ppl doing this if you know where they are before you jump.

Did a few invasions in limgrave today. The dot on the compass seemed to indicate they were beneath me, like they were in the starting crypt somehow during an invasion. This happened like 3 times. Me and another invader were killing hunters in these worlds and neither of us knew where the host was. Guess this answers that question. I did look over the edge and saw those cliffs, but did not think anything more of it once another hunter appeared

Fun Fact: you get lvl scaling amount of runes if you "kill" the hunter so If the host u invaded is hiding in that spot, just hide elsewhere. Unlike you, hunters don't get your exact location of who they suppose to kill so they usually jump off/give up and there's your runes(and waste the hosts time)
That’s what I do if I invade a afk that I can’t reach. Go hide myself and watch something on my other monitor while I fuck up their farm.

Just a heads up, as a Red you can get there by timing the Waterfoul Dance (Malenia's Hand unique ash of war) to get down there safely. In my experience you have to do it JUST as you're about to fall and spam it as you'll basically float towards the ledge. The timing and angles are crucial, but it is possible. Practice this method, don't let these lazy weirdos get free runes by doing nothing.

@Electro Ninja This isn't Dark Souls 1 2 or 3 where it's involuntary to be invaded. You can choose not to be by playing offline or without your friends.
Understandably many will WANT to play with their friends. However it's always in favor of the host unless the invader is good (which even so they're still at a disadvantage.)
In my experience the host doesn't have any phantoms, perhaps they did at one point and they died, or they got there and used the tongue. Point is it's an exploit and it's lazy, you can't use the excuse that they don't want to fight because the whole point of using the Taunters is to lure invaders there. Why waste their time if you don't wanna be invaded? It doesn't make sense
At level 215 in NG+ in about 20 minutes of afk I've gotten 350k runes. If I did the bird/frog man farm I could get that in all of 2 minutes and wouldn't be ruining peoples game play... this is weak lol and not worth the electricity to run all night for maybe a few million runes.

Well this explains a lot. I had my blue ring on while in Limgrave and kept getting summoned as a hunter into a players world and couldn't figure out for the life of me where this player was and how so many invaders were showing up. It was quite annoying. I had to take my blue ring off as I was getting resummoned back to that world within a few seconds of me putting up a sign to help others.

I managed to get 5 hunters earlier before one used the Carian Retaliation Glitch on me
report them. From’s TOS states that using exploits in multiplayer is a reason to get banned, and an influx of reports might make them rethink letting people put summoning signs on cliffs and walls. the signs should only work on solid ground out in the open world. this should be an easy fix, but they need to know it’s happening so report them and report channel like this that help people cheat

Also be sure to put in the "idicus" group password. It helps with getting higher rune drops

If you have carian retaliation, you can pop a glintstone pebble and parry it to get the glitched glintblade phalanx then backstep off the cliff so you're facing the host as you fall. It'll oneshot the afk host before you die.
Yes, it's an exploit but technically so is this farming method so no worries.
Edit: Additionally there are a few attacks you can use midair like some dragon attacks and the waterfowl dance on Melania's WA.

I've never once bothered to use the Carian Exploit and only had thoughts on using it on people who literally only gank people but still don'tuse them in the end. I guess when assholes are being assholes, it's only right to treat them like a piece of shit I guess. Its also too bad that from the time this Glitch has been out, I wont be able to use it as long as the people that have been using it since the start of the second week from release as it might get patched 2 weeks from now or so.

Bruh I invaded someone who was doing this about two weeks ago. Now I'm glad to have figured out why I couldn't find this guy. I must have waited at least an hour and finally just returned to my world.
I knew they were hiding down there and same, waiting for like half an hour and just went home, no Phantoms even showed up to fight me. Probably because they were all busy doing actual pvp. Actual Maidenless behavior.

The other area known is Liurnia of the lakes, they hide in the trees near the buildings, use mogwyns spear to get them easily, and check the rock spires, you will always spawn within view distance of the host (render range not line of sight)
I got 40 million while I was at work haha was fun while it lasted, I was wondering when someone would figure this out and make a video on it, managed to get up to level 460 doing this the last few weeks
Yeah i think this is an asshole thing to do its already a pain as an invader or blue ring summon as alot of times you spawn super far away this method is wasting alot of peoples time. Its one thing if you wanna afk on your own time but to do this at other peoples expenses is kinda low i hope this stops soon as i myself will not invade at this location anymore.
I entered idicus on the group multi - I get the msgs that someone defeated a shard bearer - where are is my share of the runes tho. I never see any come in
What's nice is that hosts don't know that transforming gives off their position, as well as once you reach the cliff spot, there is no escape, air dragon breath is valuable

You've gotta ask why the developers put that ledge there in the first place. They know stuff like this happens. Im waiting for the day the chicken farm gets patched. I don't think it will as it's technically not a glitch just part of the game.

Honestly I think the chicken farm and albinaurics are intentional. Considering how accessible weapon upgrades and respecs are it really seems like FS wants this game to be one where creating a new character isn't insanely difficult.

Super easy to counter, jar cannon explodes the person off or just carian retaliation and fall down it will automatically hit the person hiding if they're not camouflaged
my fav and what i use is heading to mohgs blood area and head to a certain cliffside theres 2 rune farms there one is a under the map glitch(gives around 100k or more im not sure) the other is going to a cliffside with a bunch of alien dudes and using the elden swords ash of war(wave of gold) it gives around 20-40k last time i remember (i could be wrong) but those are my rune farms

So that explains it! I would always invade a person’s world just to go to that spot and I was always confused as to where they were. I thought it was a glitch and that they just went down to the beach. Thanks for showing me this!

The runes are a percentage of the invader's pocket stash (I am pretty sure). This is why having a higher level toon generally produces a larger amount of runes from the invaders. The higher level your invader is, the more likely he is to just invade non stop forever, and is likely not spending his pocket runes to level up further.

i'm up to needing 170,000 runes to level up now so I need a new spot to rune farm. I've been using that spot a lot to build up levels.

Oh yeah. Yesterday it was like this with host I invaded. He hide and mimic into something so I could not see him. Then another invader was firing at some strange place with cannon and killed a host. Now I totally understand what it was.

Can't hit a target you can see or detect with that crouching veil talisman though. I mean maybe cast a AOE at random? How would you find or target an invisible host?

I also tried looking for people abusing this spot, and only found one person. They were not AFK. They ran to the other side of the column where I couldn’t hit them.

Nope, you'll gain a 5% rune gain buff everytime someone from the group defeats a boss.

@@1Death2Many Yes, it is the Maliketh armor. The hood is the Sanguine Noble hood. They go great together, both having the black and gold. I also love the look. The Sanguine Noble set can be found in the Southwest-ish area of Consecrated Snowfield. Sanguine Noble will invade you in this area. There's a couple of areas where you can glitch him up or make him fall off the cliff if he's too tough for you.
I love this. It’s super flexible since you can always find a new spot, but it relies on you being a hide and seek master.
It's hella rune farms around LOL if you need this to get runes you might aswell quit
@@andre3176 exactly. In the Moghwyn part of the game I can farm over 1mil runes in about an hour. Of course this is the video for people who don't want to grind and enjoy the game until they're levelled up which is fine if that's what their preference is but I'd rather die over and over farming and getting better at combat than do this.
@@andre3176 I doubt that I’ll use it, I’d rather play the game. Also I don’t trust my parkour skills so I could possibly lose all my runes to gravity. So far I’m thinking of exploiting the giant white dragon in Caelid cuz I’m still in early game.
@@HeWhoTookADumpOnAPorcupine yeah be careful with that one. I took possibly half a second too long to get to the grace site (jumped off horse a few metres early) and the dragon didn't respawn.

Ah this makes sense cause I'm lvl 370+ and played around with invasions by just fighting them casually and noticed I hit a million pretty fast but didn't think anything of it for some reason

@@Fircasice There's a newish farm using that on the fort faroth dragon. You have to make sure you rest at the grace before the dragon despawns.

Hopefully Fromsoft patches this asap. New people to these games don’t realize how frustrating and a waste of time this is for the invader. Getting souls has never been easier in a Fromsoft game. This will discourage invasions in these areas. Btw, you are on the invaders map. Idiots.

There is radar for the invaders so if you don't have good hunters to help you will be spotted quick

@@noghatty8686 you can be invaded or set your world open to invaded at least if they followed suit from demons souls idek 💯 because I've been too focused in story player and playing offline ain't nothing worse than being invaded regardless of skill or level when you're trying to *"get good"*

I've got a couple of encounters with these "Farmer" and even the Hunters doesn't want to deal with this shit. Actually they are helping either pointing on them or just don't attack me, so I can blow them away with the glorious jar cannon.
Is this patched? No one has invaded me yet after 4 hours. I'm playing online, not offline, and my Cross-Region Play is set to "Perform Matchmaking".

Kind of confused now. Do I still need the password when luring in invaders? Or is that just for bosses mainly. Have been waiting for an invader for a fat min. Cant seem to get one
The password doesn't matter with the exploit, it was just an extra bonus for us if someone with the same password kills a boss we also get some runes
Dragon breath attacks can end the scumbags using this method - but it requires you to also die. The cannon can also work if you can see them.
So that's what all the horse parkour is about.
380 is crazy in the first playthrough. I managed to get the platinum at level 140
Exactly id say an extremely reasonable level to finish first playthru is like 120-130 the the next two play thrus u just run through to get endings then boom platinum

that's a number you can only achieve if you farm for runes. which you literally don't need. I farm for armors sometimes, and those runes always go straight into smithing stones.

@@zombieshark1012 With this method you're intensionally doing things so you get invaded more. Besides that I disagree cause pvp can be fun for both players, but if you really don't want to be invaded you can turn off online
I'm doing this method in Steam Deck with Elden Ring latest patch but I don't seem to get runes when the hunter kills the invader?
Made successfully to spot, checked settings, even added idicus, used summons, used taught tongue, used hunter ring, sat in same corner. Nothing
Restarted the game to make sure settings were correct and not one invasion
Why ruin multiplayer instead of just farming at Mohgwyn Palace Approach Ledge?? You can get 40,000 runes with a single Wave of Gold weapon art

Keep in mind that if you do this people will block you when they get summoned as a blue/invade. So if you are planning to do multiplayer with other people you might have trouble connecting in the future.
Way too many people playing for that to be a problem. You could get blocked by 200 people and it wouldn't make a dent in the amount of people that could help/invade you.

someone should upload a rune farm run. farming bird is very tedious but the best i think so far. back in day, there were alot of vids on dark souls trilogy on a run that keeps things exciting while farming - jumping from grace to grace linking and destroying different enemies. it was further enhanced when the further you push thru the run more challenging it gets and more rewarding or you can quit out anytime safely. The runs was designed in such a way that it was considered as a welcomed mission of high replay value when u want to take a break from a boss or so on.
To get ride of people like this use that one shield with magic sword and fall down makes sure to lock ur self first to the target
