- I had the first opportunity to fly the UH-1 on a Server and it was extremely fun. It's not always easy to join a Server with the name " Arma Pilot " . Some think i cant fly or crash it.
But luckily i got the UH-1. It's maybe not so spectacularly but i need the Little Bird to do cool moves and landings. The UH-1 is just to Slow

@@vaughandrummer neh, he went just beneath them. Arma simulates those bloody things, they were a death sentence to many inb. recon squads. Props to the pilot
I had a ally dismount on top of the blades destroying them as the heli took off causing the heli to fall on us and blow up

@@augustindecember3853 Mate he flew straight threw them lol. Haven't played Reforger but either these modded choppers don't have a proper hitbox or the powerlines don't. In arma 2 and 3 etc you will collide with them but not here apparently.

that engine has been in development for close to 25 years and still looks godawful. bis should honestly just switch to unreal 5
@@cagneybillingsley2165 Yeah, game is horribly unoptimized too, to this day. I think they are starting fresh with the new game they just released into early access (or something) it's on a new engine, I'm pretty sure I read.

Spent a good I want to say 300 hours on Arma 3 learning to 'vietnam land' and just fly in general. Genuinely the most fun part about this game (except when you clip a powerline with a full squad in the back lol).
I love that doing random flips for no tactical gain is just an inherent natural part of every pilots inner conscience too

Also another thing I know its a game,but if it wasn't a game that helicopter would have gotten entangled in those electric wires that was flied thro.

In Arma 3 the wires have hitboxes...tells you how barebones Reforger is
Some games could be more real for more gigs and ram etc....If they were a hazard in another game or this game, dude would fly circles around them too...

Some helis actually have hooks that catch and slice the cables before they hit the propellers! Of course it's a last resort kind of thing but still interesting!

It really isn't that difficult. I don't understand why people praise this so much.
Is it a skillset, yes. Is it a difficult skillset?? Not at all, I jumped into a rotorcraft on Reforger for the first time and was praised, I'm just sitting there like, lads, it isn't hard, just devote a couple hours of flying practice, understand how the physics work and you're set.

@@Space_Parrot, I mean, I still find the flight model in Reforger extremely arcadey, especially the UH/1's flight model. The stuff you can do with it is just ridiculous.
the UH-1 is actually pretty maneuverable you can do a backflip into a landing from pretty close to the ground if you practice enough
can it do it in real life tho? I mean arma is supposed to be reallistic

You can technically become the best basketball player in the world if you practice enough. Doesn't mean everyone can do it

yeah a regular roll and regular landing like I used to do with just mouse/kb. Joystick makes everything even easier so I don't see why this is impressive to anyone. Huey is a bit slow but more fun imo. It's not like I had some impressive skill or weeks of practice to land like that. Give anyone 6 hours in one bird and they'll be landing just like that but with 10% failure. With a name like Arma pilot, I'd wager they had a little more than 6 hours of practice.
I just wish Arma could have had basic wind physics. It completely changes helicopter flight. Add in updraft/downdraft and flying becomes a little more challenging. I about had a heart attack when I felt a downdraft in Iraq. Apparently it's uncommon and pilots did not anticipate something so extreme (no bad weather indicators). I thought my life was over at 18 when we suddenly went totally weightless in our UH 60, and then an unexpected gforce slammed us into our seats. Some poor kid lost his rifle and it hit the door gunner on the way out.
decades later I still play games like arma, just wishing for the thrill and terror I felt that day. Riding in helicopters is usually boring and I don't want that kind of excitement ever again, but I kinda sorta do.
Arma 3 is still one of the best looking games

I played Gta 5 , Arma Reforger, Flight Simulation 2020
When i compare all them i say that Gta is Super Acarde and Flight Simulation 2020 Very Realistic
I would put Arma Reforger in the middle but more up because the Chopper like the UH-1 and Mi8 are way more heavy and they feel way slower when you try to maneuver them
If i had a scale from 0-100.
I put Gta at 0 and Flight Simulation 2020 at 100
Arma Reforger i would put between 80-85
It definitely feels realistic but of course not like Flight Simulation 2020

Awesome! IDK if they fixed it, but on the launch, pilots said that the physics of MSFS 2020 was decente but that X-Plane was the realistic one, much better, that was 3 years ago.@@ArmaPilot

It's even more realistic and slow paced.
Squad has HORRIBLE choppa physics (2k+ hours here).
