That’s so crazy to see this Maxima. I still currently own my 1999 Nissan Maxima GLE. Bought it in 2004 with 70,000 miles on it, and now has 320,000 miles on it. Only things done to it are an Injen Intake, Magnaflow 2.25” cat-back exhaust, and Tein Lowering Springs. Haha my Maxima sadly is probably only good for 180 FWHP, not 284 FWHP like Vince’s Maxima. Looking back on this movie, we all paid so much attention to the Supra, Charger, RX7 and even the Jetta that we completely ignored the Nissan S14 and R33 Skyline that Letty and Leon drove.
I have a 2001 Anniversary edition with the manual tranny, it's a beautiful car but it's not stock either. I've always kept a nissan maxima since I was 16 years old. I still have my 1985 nissan maxima and those cars were decades ahead of their time in technology.

@@DarthWinterMadness I have a feeling there has been an increase in demand for information on the cars in the older movies, perhaps because a lot of the people who grew up with them are coming of age and getting their own cars or maybe more of the younger generations are seeing the old films and wanting to know more. I can't say for sure but I'm grateful that I basically struck the lottery because right now seems to be the best time to try and make a car channel and also do Fast and the Furious content so I'm going to stay dedicated and hopefully give people what they are looking for, because I'm having a lot of fun doing it!
I think what he wanted to say was "Due to your fuel map you've got a huge drop in torque which is especially noticeable in third. If you time the NOS so it hits when your torque dips, you'll do 9's". Maybe he was thinking to use NOS the way we use hybrid systems now to fill torque holes, I dunno.

Yeas I know trust me I was lookin for the diecast for months and I could never find it so I had to get the 99 skyline but I had a good idea I painted it to look just like my maxima I even the inside and break pads.

It had the auto too, and my fav feature about it was the trunk pass-through (this was before I got into cars, and I loved it cause I thought I could put a cooler in the back of the trunk and retrieve drinks). I collect some diecast cars, and I recently contacted jada toys about making a diecast of this maxima since they've pretty much made a diecast for every other car in the F&F series. Unfortunately, they told me that they didnt have plans to do it. That's too bad because this car to me was one of the main highlights in the movie.
Actually it's not hard to get burnout with automatic gearbox but wit FWD that's a little bit unsteady because FWD cars doesn't wanna stay steady u know that.

Very informative. I Had a Nissan sunny gts with a sr20 engine and a evolution turbo with jim wolf technology and it could do burnouts easy and also beat mitsubishi evolution and keep up with bikes because it was so light and furious.It was front wheel drive.
3:32 my 6th gen Maxima broke 3 wheel knuckles and smelted my wheel bearing on the 3rd wheel knuckle it broke. Smoke comes in the cabin and I'm fwd. Lol.

It's not hard to spin tires on that car actually very easy I have one I know. I love my Max SE 5spd Manuel transmission, I wouldn't have known it was a automatic in this movie tho thanks.

I didn't know about the car much, bought one of them with 50k miles. Learned slowly about the car and then I figured it was in the movie. Sadly I have an auto, always between the struggle to keep it auto because it's like a Japanese BMW or convert it to manual to make it a sport quick fun car. Vq30de in it is decent just hard to find new parts to it. Underrated car in my opinion :/ I love it, if you want a good car I recommend it. It's a hell to work on tho by it's design (sparkplugs but I think mostly any V6 fwd car.)

It's your fuel map. It's got a nasty hole. That's why you're unloading in third.tune the NOS timer and you'll do 9's

He didn't mention it because the car IRL actually doesn't have it, despite Jessie (the movie character) talking about it in the movie.
There weren't many cars that had functional nitrous systems in them, a couple of cars might have had nitrous bottles but they didn't do anything
seeing this movie made me buy a A32 maxima in 5spd manual which is pretty rare in Australia, had some balls!
