Love Darcy Swains look of utter confusion at his red, like "Duh, wot me dun wong?" lol
I used to play football and rugby as a kid and some of these collisions are harder than ones I've seen in American football throughout highschool and college. Love the content keep it up.
Makes you wonder what some of these players were getting away with earlier in their careers
I guess you mean all the testosteron abuse?
That double Italian lift of the bok was just comical
Can't believe it wasn't two reds.
@@nathanbloke Should've been. Both player were involved.
@@nathanbloke Or at least a red and a yellow.
Comical? Utter stupidity
The All Black Ireland send off at 3:18 was weird to me as it wasn't deliberate or malicious, definitely a yellow as the following week was
agreed
upright in the tackle, no effort to tackle low, no change in direction, head on head, may not be intent but red all day
@@honeill683 Red all day long. Not sure where the non-deliberateness comes in?
It's hilarious how the consensus in union is head on head is a red card for tackler but in league it isn't even a penalty
The USA match vs Italy I would have sent off the captain too. Was that two clothes lines on the same number 10 in the same match?
The hilarious thing is that the Commentators were surprised that both incidents were red cards... I think someone need to brush up on the laws of the game.
Irrespective of whether a decision should have been a yellow instead of a red, did you notice not a single player argued with the referee? Not like the prima donnas of football who roll and squeal at every touch and actively try to get an opponent sent off.
There was one player at 4.30 but other than that you're right. I notice there were no number 10s in there red carded. Then you would've had backchat.
@@dangriff12 Number 9s as well... not sure I've ever seen a scrum half sent off, mind. Or make a tackle.
@@robicenco1 Faf de Klerk often takes down tanks.
USA here noticed that too. Wish it was like that here. Refs need to be respected
The US captain did but thatâs the yanks for you as oblivious to the âNever argue with the refâ etiquette!!
Amazing how the player that us send off is shocked
Why was the collision at 3:31 a red card but the same collision in the next match was only a yellow for the irish player? Kinda new so just not sure
One was a dominant tackle ie the tackler initiating contact and one was a passive tackle where the ball carrier makes contact, the force applied to the head is much greater, itâs like the difference between a head on collision with 2 cars and both are moving at 30mph/50kph and a head on collision between a stationary car and 1 moving at 30mph/50kph, youâve got a combined collision speed of 30mph/50kph in on collision and a combined collision speed of 60mph/100kph, Iâm not a physics genius but you donât have to be to work which ones more dangerous and more likely to cause serious injury, apply the same logic to the 2 separate rugby collisions and youâll understand why 1 was red and 1 was yellow.
Cool đ
You don't get much more brutal than the Swain vs Hill showdown.
Was the last clip a double sending off? It should've been if not.
It wasn't. One red and one yellow
I was thinking the same thing. Did they get both sent off or which one did
Sam Warburton is totally wrong about 1:48. He clearly deliberately raised his leg to kick him in the face.
Totally. Seen thousands of players jump to catch a high ball but haven't seen many of them stick a boot out at that angle.
Does it even matter if it's deliberate or not?
@@Philzoid Not really - even if the player didn't "mean" it (which he totally did) then he hasn't taken enough care NOT to boot his opponent in the face, so at the very best it's dangerously reckless.
@@robicenco1 so is that red? im a football fan and it never says in the law "deliberate" over here. ive seen some shocking challenges in my time and most i geniunely think he was going for the ball.
â@@thelittleowl1 Agree, most of the time the player genuinely is going for the ball - but that shouldn't protect them from getting sent off if they misjudge/mistime it badly enough to endanger an opponent.
I agree that "deliberate" shouldn't be the main consideration, a) because it's pretty hard to judge, and b) because a broken leg is a broken leg, regardless of whether the foul was intentional or not, but I think clear malicious intent should be taken into account by a referee (or disciplinary panel after the game).
- elbowing
- headbutting
- kicking
- shouldering
- kneeing
- bicepping
- wrestling
All those faces being pulled after full damn well knowing what they've done , amazing
La verdad que es hermoso ver como le sacna tarjeta roja a los jugadores de Rugby. Me encanta ver las caras de "no entiendo". Se creen que asi es el juego, golpear por golpear.
Usa got that nfl blood in them. Love it.
the last 1 did both of them get a red or just 1? as both people picked him up and double teamed him.
Only one did the other one got a yellow card
Halaifonua tackle at 4:20 is deliberately dangerous and intentionalâŠ
lol@ the caption "has there been foul play?"
Assault with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, more like it.
I noticed almost every one of these had someone wearing the number 5 directly involved.
Never wear the number 5, you will either commit a red card offense or will be the victim of a red card offense.
Headbutts the opposition off the ball, then looks surprised by the red card. đ
But all of hills actions in that game were pre meditated against Darcy swain
@@kyky9541 hill was playing on the line of the law but swain was well outside the law
@@joshlidstone7558 thatâs is up for debate an hills actions prior to the main offence
@@kyky9541 Being a pain in the ass and griping the other team isnât a cardable offense but head butting someone who is facing away from is definitely a red under new law.
@@kyky9541 either way Darcy deserved a red, Hill got the appropriate punishment for what he did too
I love how they try to look innocent, like they didn't do anything.
Iâm a man but seeing these women on rugby just damn scared
i wonder whether the editor is an england fan or not
Ya have to do new part 2 version.. yellow that deserves to be RED. Swain top of the list.
Sure will do
6:12 manâs lying there like a family guy character
We learn from this that the USA should stick to rounders.
With soo many camera angles?, slo mo and everything? Just how do they expect to protest innocence?

3:40 This one was accidental and not intentional. But yes, red card it is unfortunately.
What the hell was with the last one. Some of the reds were a no brainer, some were just bad luck and the ref having to abide by the rules but I genuinely canât figure out why the two Italians decided to drop the springbok on his headâŠ!?
Just a thought - had someone placed a sizeable bet on Italy receiving at least one red card in the game...?
And way after the whistle as well.
Negative brain cell counts
Guess we can call them scrum lags
If it was practice, they should have used their own player. The teams were having drinks.
Club Atlético Belgrano de Córdoba Argentina
...
Should be rugby union and rugby league in the title just a suggestion
I don't get what's wrong with the forearm charge. As long as it's not the elbow it's legal..
Which one?
Forearm is bone where as your hand is cushioned by flesh. Tuning at a hard slightly pointed surface is going to hurt and is quite dangerous
@@teopetersen3772 Welcome to rugby.
Itâs probably to do with the location tbh like if it was to the throat then youâre fucked
I think as long as the forearm is already in position before you go into contact, rather than lashing out at the last second....
I did laugh at the card getting stuck in the refs pocket
You should see the clip where Nigel Owens is sin binning someone with a yellow cardâŠ. Then realizes he forgot all of his cards.

well done the Ladys representing
And I thought Rugby was a man's game. đ€Łđ€Ł
Is that last one a double red?
Rugby players would not issue a single red card because they can get hits without complaining, unlike football/soccer players but others force the rules on them LOL
Tommy bowe took the worst hit not sure about Menagre he was just forcing him self through a tackle

They kick them in the face... I take them and give them a German Zangief-style suplex
You serious, Angus Ta'ovao red was such bullshit
I feel like the runner shouldnât be punished for the tacklers mistakes
That NZ card at 3.40 was bloody ridiculous!!!!
No way ever was that red!!!!!
Thatâs why in the next game when it was the other way round they only got a yellow đ
It is 100% a red card. Ringrose was going across the pitch when the sub prop rushes forward and clobbers him in the head with his shoulder. The winge from NZ over that incident is ridiculous.
@@Diom1982 New Zealand fans whinge when they win (Rugby is boring we always win) and whinge when they lose (unfair ref) 100% of the time.
Hay algunos que son asesinos!
Usual sprinkling of Samoan swinging arm no-wrap high tackles. I'm sure they're taught that, because they appear to consider it fair play.
deserving Red Cards but not that brutal
3:20 Angus taavau didn't want to deliberately knock himself out it was head to head it did more damage to Angus then it did to the Irish player
Yeah I have no idea why this is in here at all. It was an accidental head knock, and while the current rules makes that a red card, it certainly wasn't cynical like a lot of these reds are.
Will say rugby league is a very dirty game compared to union. Union is much more cleaner in terms of stuff like that.
it takes two to take thor out
Some of these are merely the physics of when you have 2 90 KG blokes running at full speed towards each other.
All the american players forget it's rugby and not american throw ball, they seem to think rugby players wear armour too. đ
Weâre learning, though. Major League Rugby is starting to gain attention here, though it could easily be considered juniors here, but we are learning. I mean, at least we finally scored a try against the All Blacks!
Please define if you're putting in both league and union clips. Completely different games
Yes both League and union
Not really. They obviously have some differences but they're more like each other than they are like any other sport, and more similar to each other than any other pair of sports that I can think of.
@@robicenco1 There are massive differences in gameplay, skillset and most important player/fanbase
@@jackm2939 Sure, but they're still both codes of rugby. I'm a rugby fan. I think both are great.
I thought I was watching soccer there with some of those đ
Some were the wrong decision
Check this one:
czcams.com/video/B1tfgslTnd8/video.html
The referee explains saying "Geste d'Ă©nervement Monsieur", something like "Gesture of frustration Sir". Yellow card. I love rugby!
Well, some are not that deserved, but some are very ugly indeed.
08:09 Northern hemisphere refs.... Jeez.... nothing wrong with that tackle. At least not a red card....
Hits him straight in the neck at high speed clear red
Head clashes are not a red card offense imo.
it is the job of the tackler to go low so its his fault
The tackler has the responsibility in engaging in a safe tackle. The same principle is used for tackling in the air, spear tackling and so on.
It would appear that the laws disagree with you.
@@2shae475 yes and a safe tackle is to go low so it was the new Zealand persons fault the law states its the job of the tackler to go low and if he makes contact with head at all hell get the card
Yes, because your entertainment is more important than the safety and health of the players. Concussion, early trauma related dementia, you don't care as long as your are entertained.
I donât get it what a feeling to be picked for youâre club and country why would you play so dirty I donât get it
3:30 Never saw the whole game, so unsure if there is any prior context leading up to this clip. But how is this a red card, like seriously ?
Direct head to head contact. Simple it is a red, that is the law, the tackler is responsible
@@EvilFinian stupid lawsâŠ
@@EvilFinian I get the rules. Still dont see this instance as a Red Card worthy violation. No malicious intent to injure. And both men are committed to the tackle. Definately a yellow cardable offence, just dont see this instance as red card worthy.
@@nizzanator The tackler has to drop to make the tackle, hes standing straight up, head on head, even without intent there was no attempt to make any tackle
@@TheChin58 Bro I get what you are saying, of course the tackler is at fault. I just don't see it as a RED cardable offence.
Is it illegal to fend in womanâs rugby
It is illegal in men's rugby too. Cannot lead with the elbow/forearm
No itâs not but it is illegal to lead with the elbow/forearm. Palm of hand and an extended arm is how it should be done legally. An elbow is not legal in mens or womens rugby, be it league or union
3:40 accidental head clash is now a red card in rugby union? Glad I'm retired, game's gone soft.
How dumb do you have to be to commit an 'old school' sneaky hit to the face surrounded by cameras and vid reviews?
I disagree with the Darcy Swain incident, Hill targeted him all game, forced his hand
Hill was pulling his hair there as well they both definitely should have gone off
You can disagree, but you'd be wrong. Irrespective if Hill targeted him (which we know he did to wind him up) it's still a send off offence. Hill could have even punched him in the face and if Swain had head-butted him back he would have still been given a red card for retaliation. So yep, you're definitely wrong.
@@Wolfsong27FlyHalfFullHeart Hill did go off. He got the appropriate punishment for hair pulling and Swain did for headbutting.
@@David-ud9ju Hill should've been off before the incident even occurred. You can't just randomly hit someone in the face off the ball. Terrible refereeing, but at least the team interested in playing rugby won
@@inBODwetrust13 what about the whole series tho đ„±
3:30 you know how the all blacks fancy blokes. they even try to kiss them on the field. luckily he got a red card for that kiss. No intimate stuff during a game, children are watching.
Tackler gets to choose how high he tackles - a head-to-head is 100% his fault. Tackle lower.
Same thing happened in the next game but teams were reversed. Irish got a yellow instead. The difference? The ref.
@@Loosehead the Irish player changed directions instantly. AB had less than half a second to react. No way he could have went low. All he did was stick his arms out to try and grab him and both players ended up colliding
Dry
@@ruckus2702 React to what? Tackle lower, end of.
TRIGGER WARNING!!!!!!!
Angus getting a red then a week later exactly the same thing happened a week later and the Irish player got a yellow is bullshit.
I'm Irish and I'm not triggered,I agree with you.
No consistency around the ruling.
Ireland don't seem to get many reds compared to other countries.
Low iq
Well, during the week all coaches went ballistic saying less red cards for these kind of tackles. The. We give less cards a d people still complaining. Cannot win...
@@cdemo1186 there is consistency, one stepped into the tackle without lowering which increased the danger. One didn't step in and absorbed the tackle which decreased the danger, smooth brains everywhere. Cry elsewhere fool.

I'll keep saying it. Some of these are just not as serious. Rugby has gone soft. All for player safety, just stop killing our game.
