This is by far the most beautiful ruler I have ever laid my eyes on. All others just don’t quite measure up.
One ruler , to rule them all !
That’s a measured response
😐
It all depends on the metric you use
I see what you did there
The final product was beautiful.
The best thing, no music just the sound of work which is very soothing despite me having my own workshop.
So many idiots would put a ten second loop of moronic squeaky techno music on a video like this, it's great to just hear the sound, and the silence in between the sounds.
@@PutItAway101 Amen!
Agreed!
I have quit watching otherwise good videos because the music was so grating!
@@charleswettish8701 we need to boycott those who want to show off the very simple skill of adding crappy music to everything, even lectures imagine like they are ashamed of their own voice. We want to listen to music, we open music of our choice, don't force crap down our throats
@@zahirmamdani2319 lol grumpy old men. Kids these days with their boops and beeps.
It makes me happy to know that there is an electric milling machine behind the creation of the most classy steampunkesque artisticly made tool on earth.
I really want to give this guy a hard time about CNC’ing so much of the work; but, I honestly can’t. This dude is a true craftsman.
Deus ex machina, I suppose....
as a CNC machinist... owie.... really enjoy the creative work holding done on this guy's router tho 💖
When you spend that much on a CNC tour gonna get your money’s worth
Can I buy a CNC for about $100? Lol
What do expect him to do, hand carve it?
It is rare indeed when I see someone on youtube actually create something astonishingly beautiful.
This is one of those!
Amazing.
There is an abundance of youtubers creating astonishingly beautiful objects. Your comment is ignorant and pathetic.
Corona why be such a jerk?
Poke around, and you'll be surprised!
That bloodwood inlay looks so incredible combined with the metal. So precise, yet so organic! I've learnt a lot watching this. Thanks for the video!
I would work everyday just to take measurements with this piece of art. Simply stunning!
Even if you don't need it, you want it, after watching this video! Great job!
Beautiful job . I never thought i could get excited about a ruler but that is a functional work of art any craftsman would be proud to own. Stunning piece .
I think more importantly, it’s a functional work of art that any craftsman would be proud to have made
Wow! any craftsman would be proud to own such a tool, any Freemason would take it to lodge to show to his brothers, any museum would want it for its collection, and any man capable of making one has the respect of everyone else.
Hi from Canada
Do any of those creeps use tools anymore?
@@danfrancis2707 yes we do.
Distance yourself and Repent from Masons .
They killed my friend via blackmail, one of their many skills.
Freemasonry is for the selfish and godless. They see themselves as "rulers" constantly gauging and measuring the populace in order to manipulate their all-knowing wisdom onto society. They're weird af and I've audited some of their lodges. It's mostly political/economic networking but that can be done in countless other ways than adopting such strange behavior and rituals.
It's amazing the amount of misinformation out there about Masons. No, the masons didn't kill your buddy. No they don't control the population. It's just a bunch of dudes hanging out and trying to be better people toward their fellow man.
Absolutely fantastic! Loved watching the whole process and the precision is just top notch. Great work!
This is so beautiful, next-level craftsmanship. Thank you so much for sharing your process, and without music, too!
Amazing craftsmanship 🤣🤣🤣 more like amazing computer programming
@@My_daddy : Perhaps you would like to put a share to better quality work that you have done by hand, Along a similar vein

A darned sight more impressive than any of the working tools in OUR box! Well done - it’s beautiful! Regards, Dave 👍🏻
Wow thats awesome a beautiful piece of craftsmanship! You should sell them! Thanks for the video and keep up that amazing work!
Nice combination of CNC and careful hand finishing. A beautiful piece of work.
my god that is gorgeous. Now it just needs an awesome display box. Maybe one with LEDs in it when you open it! Beautiful work.
Or even a leather holster maybe
Yes and yes...I would buy one just to have and not use lol
Something that even Tubal Cain would be proud to own
@@brandonbeard2061 don’t let Tom hanks hear ya say that! Hell invite ya over for tea and adrenochrome!
It is not Starret, he would throw that away
Two balls and a cane 🥎🍆🥎, as if anyone can take this stuff seriously. Overgrown frat boy self reverence, co-opted by the global rulers as yet another pawn for the monoparty.
@@VeritasEtAequitas Tubal Cain was the son of Lamech the Cainite in the bible, the first metalworker. Its not some sort of tongue-in-cheek joke.
Ummm his name is Kublah Kahn
This was awesome! That ruler is beautiful. Great work 👏🏼
That is absolutely beautiful, a true work of art!
What a beautiful rule, I would be proud to own one and even prouder if I was able to make on myself. Outstanding tool making at its best. Thank you.
Really cool how you held the brass down there :)
Nice work!
That's so pretty! The wood was an amazing touch. Great job!
All I can say is WOW! What an incredibly beautiful piece of work.
This is incredible, brother. I actually happen to be a Freemason AND carpenter/cabinet maker. I’m 34 years old and would keep something like this forever. I’d love to know how much you’d charge for one of these.

Bro!
Just ordered mine! What a beautiful addition to my toolbox. Can’t wait to get it.
Thank you Craig!
What a nicely crafted piece! Looking wonderful!
I am as fascinated with the piece itself, as I am with the milling and assembly. Beautiful. Now I want a home use CNC.
Luckily they're getting cheaper so we can afford to. Cheap ones can be made if you have the want to and know how. They are pretty good also. Tormach is a little pricier for the home shop but they're decent enough even for beginner hobbyists. There are cheaper ones still.
If you know how to program it via madtercam or some other software get a ghost gunner. Really small really strong 3 axis mill ready for metal
@@WoodsRlee can it be programmed through open source? I understand the basics of programming, but would not be able to program a CNC from scratch. I am thinking about building a CNC, and paying someone else for the code.
@@Inertia888
As far as the ghost gunner goes. You CAN. Look up gcode. I frequently code by hand for small projects. Notepad. But its not an easy task and easy to fuck up a machine if you are really new to it. But there are a million choices for learning to code it.
As far as building a cnc from scratch, it's also relatively easy to do, but if you can't program well, or not sure, it will be difficult to see where problems are when they arise, is it your gcode? Is the machine malfunctioning?
I would suggest you get a cnc mill kit if you want to build one. That way you know it works
Perfect display box, the Studley tool chest. Absolutely beautiful.
Beautiful was the only thought that came to mind
Awesome cnc project. I really like how visually clear your marking are on the ruler.
The wood you chose to use is magnificent!
Beautifully crafted…it’s stunning! I’d be to scared to use it in case I scratched or damaged it!!! Thank you
This is a beautiful tool. Would love to have one of these scales in my guitar shop.

I just bought one, I am glad CZcams recommended your channel!
Обалденная линейка. Браво мастеру!!! А если делать с метрической шкалой, наверное сильно наляписто будет?

A true Artisan!!! Beautiful item, well crafted, Sir!!
Excellent attention to detail - impressive
What a beautiful ruler Out of curiosity, what makes it Masonic? I understand the significance of a 24 inch gauge, but unsure about this?
This should be the top comment. It's a very fancy 6 inch ruler, to be sure. Not even an attempt to describe whether it was made by a mason or inspired by an old masonic design. Not even some basic or obscure masonic symbolism etched into the surface... and those are best cases, because it "sounds cool" is probably, statistically, the unfortunate answer here. Pretty ruler though.
@@bobskewer1874 the only reason i watched it was to learn what a masonic ruler is. also the only reason i came to the comments. does the shape have special applications? if so, why no demonstration of it in use? meh.
very nice work, I am a past master and would love to have one of these in my wood shop.
I’m a current master and was thinking the same thing. Absolutely beautiful!
Wow, I've never been so jealous of a ruler! Very very nice!
awesome programing, and beautiful end result.....damn near anyone could replicate with that program!

That is a magnificent piece of art, my friend. Simply beautiful.
My god, that’s beautiful. That’s the kind of thing that finds it’s way to a museum after a couple generations.
Gorgeous ruler. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week 😎
Now think about how they made them for Jefferson and Washington in the 1770's... Hmmm
With Chinese 3D Printer !!!
🤣🤣🤣
I would think that is obvious. They make them now and send them back for them to use. Pretty basic stuff for the Illuminati!
What, exactly, makes this “Masonic”? I didn’t see any of the symbols normally associated with Masons. I would call this “steampunk”! It’s beautiful!!!
I guess it depends on the ritual... It is 6 inches long, so 6 multiplied by 4 is 24... That is as far as I will go on an open forum. Very nice work!
@@louisjutras1 … I knew there had to be some mystical reference in there somewhere. 😀 thanks for clarifying!
@@louisjutras1 good math. But that is a poor answer for the Masons. From a Past Master.
@@halkester9368 …it’s ok… I don’t need to know y’all’s secrets. I just wondered what caused Mirock to label it “Masonic”! I gather there is some significant meaning in the dimensions and or the shape. It’s very pretty. And he does wonderful work!
@@halkester9368 In the province of Quebec, we have 24 inches. Period. In all the years I have been around, I have never seen a 6 inches ruler in any of the lodges here. So again, the ritual you are using in your jurisdiction might see this differently. I was PDDGM by the way.
