I love the way you teach sir, however I am very apprehensive about purchaing an E-Book on it as there as so many mistakes in diagrams in this video. They are just way too many to not notice sir. Again totally enjoy your presentations.., it is perfect.
Super clear well thought out lesson. Thanks so much...
Do you have lefty version books?
I love when diminished chords are not treated as "almost never used so we'll skip them" - thank you for a COMPREHENSIVE lesson 👏
Jesus, whatever teacher said that should never be allowed to teach music!
@@Gregorypeckorymost of them on youtube
@@Gregorypeckoryalmost all do it mostly because you really dont hear diminished but learning something cant hurt with guitar so 🤷♂️
Diminished is used in modern music ..it gives a vibes of coming back home... It sounds great...from pop jazz metal ul find them...
Probably the most thorough explanation of triads in one video on CZcams. Thanks!
I know this sounds cliche, but I really wish I had this video 12 years ago when I started playing guitar. Everything is crystal clearly explained, in a logical progression and it answers the actual question: how to connect scales, chords and CAGED ? I cannot thank you enough for creating this amazing content.
This is the best video ive seen for someone coming from piano. Thank you This makes sense
Loved how straigtforwrad you got the idea across when many seem incapable of no matter how hard they try. that was very smart. Thank you
Omg! Where have you been all my life…? ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ This lesson has demystified the guitar 🎸 neck period
I folowed this leson with a great pleasure and it was very helpfull for me. Thank you so much
I wish you all the best that can happen to a person in life. Really appreciate the amount of quality content you're sharing with the guitar-playing world. Poland's watching!
Thank you Macin!
This should be marked as the definitive lesson on Triads, amazing work, clear, concise, good examples.
Incredible as expected from your channel. Such information presented in digestible format. Really love your lessons and other vids!
Absolutely amazing. Regularly blown away by your content and this was as good as anything I've seen on CZcams. Thank you so much.
You create the clearest music lessons on internet!! thank you very much!!
Incredible lesson, really never see that before, very cool and thank you for the clarity of this lesson !
I believe this is the one single best video for everything about triads!
This is incredible. Wow, thank you dude for all your hard work. Truly amazing.
Simply genius! Ten years plus playing by ear and all of sudden I understood a lot !
Excellent as always. I also loved that low key shoutout to Satch at the end of the "triads in (jazz) blues" segment
Wow, im truly amazed by how much it changes the sound… thanks 👌
Goodness Rob, I wish somebody showed me this Poly-Chord thing at least 40 years ago! I never thought, that I will get my theory "sh**" together. In fact ... all the Triad lessons - Spread Triads and so on - have been really enlightening! Thank you for this straightforward and cristal clear explanations! I wish you a safe and happy ride into the new year 😎🥃🙏
You're transforming the life of many with your powerfully dissected musical lessons. 🎼 I celebrate your calling. God bless you 🙏 ❤️ 🙌
Wow! This is so well done. Even after playing 25 years I still don't use enough of the less common inversions and triads. Love it when i find something that moves my playing forward again. 🎸🤘
Thank you so much for putting this video together, this is such a comprehensive lesson. The progression of ideas presenting along with the visuals really helped this click for me!
VERY GOOD LESSON...THANK YOU MASTER.
Excellent Job Rob .... Huge amount of work to practice here. Thanks again !!!!!
I love this video, and the real world examples at the end are the cherry on top. Thanks!
This is the easiest lesson to follow I have ever seen. Combining description of theory with graphics and sound examples seems to have gotten through to my dyslexic brain, thankyou thankyou thankyou!
you sir, are a great teacher. this lesson was well explained. really appreciated how you showed examples over chords and examples songs.
Very clear and straightforward lesson on triads. There are several places where the graphic is wrong though, showing the notes a half step lower on the fretboard, which is a bit confusing if you're not 100% familiar with the notes on the fretboard (why does this just sound so wrong?) 7:08 the root position, 8:42 all of them, 9:06 all of them.
This is true, I came to look if someone also realized it
yep.
I love this lesson because triads are my favorite!
When I started playing (and understanding) triads and there inversions, my whole playing got a crazy ramp up. I can't recommend getting triads under your belt enough!
Really, get it!
And again thanks to Rob for his wonderful, great content!
Thank You for your Channel. I've found my home. No babbling. Just intelligent, comprehendible lessons. Everything explained simply. Good teachers make learning fun, & easy.
What an awesome lesson! Super complete and broad! Congratulations!
Some of the missing pieces from my lessons back in 1976! It only took 45 years to arrive. Lol. Thanks for sharing the information in such a clear and concise way. This made it easy to see the rare niggles. Cheers, Lee
The learning tips part just awesome thank you !
This is a great intro into the world of triads and inversions. Great for a guy that wants to learn to comp.
I like very much this very clear and practical course with musical examples. Thank's so much
God I love this channel, thank you for taking time out of your days to create this wonderful educational content. Because of this channel, I have grown as a guitarist.
Man... you make order in my mind as always.
You are awesome!!!
Watching you from Shanghai, you're are one of the best teacher here on CZcams
Music for ears, food for my brain!

Thank you amazing video all in one
Wow, this is the best explanation I've ever seen💖
Awesome! !!!!This is the most useful instruction I've seen on youtube!!!Thank you so much!!! Love from China!!
Interesting, clear and very informative. Thank you.
This is super useful and you are a brilliant teacher! You definitely deserves more subs. Keep up the amazing work!
Great lesson. A lot of good info, well laid out.
Brilliantly done
Straight to the point, I love it! You got my subscription!
that's a brilliant lesson! all of these are actually part of (or dissected out of the) CAGED chord system :) once you learn the caged penta and dia- tonics triads are considerably easier to visualise. ty for this
I jump around a lot on CZcams and have learned a lot of things from a lot of different creators. My guitar has too high an action so I avoided the hell out of chord theory once I found out about barre chords... still trying every once in a while but mostly just practicing open and power chords just to keep in touch with chord theory.
I'm still a beginner, but every triad video I'd find wouldn't jive with me, I'd tune out. Perhaps it is just that I now know the pentatonic scale as well as major and minor (now the pentatonic phrygian variation) that I find I'm looking for the challenge of chords, maybe it was because you also introduce inversions, whatever it is thank you for making this simple enough to understand. I'm not even done watching the video!
Running with the devil - great example! Keep it up!😊
Nice lesson ! At 19:16 the Dm/F is dim instead of minor, the A should be above the D ;)
This lesson is the most complete I saw on internet ! Great job !
Another Great Video As Always, Bravo Mr.Duplantier
Incredible good lesson.
Thank you.
This channel is terrific. Great job. Thanks.
the best so far
Best channel out there for learning this stuff. Great as always.
Pip
Lup
Thanks for such a great lesson! ☺ 👍
Thank you!
For those who didn't noticed, there's a little mistake at 11:03, on the second inversion shape the b3 should be a half step lower.
Anyway, this video is pure gold. You don't receive the recognition that you deserve. I talk about your channel in every occasion.
Thank you Francesco!
@@QJamTracks at 07:10 are the 5 and 3 swapped?
Yes, they are.
Excellent lesson!
Mind blown...again!!!!
A really nice lesson!
I LOVE this channel ❤️ you are making the theory portion of music learning easy and enjoyable with practical applications that even I can understand! Frigging Bravo 👏
Thanks! :)
Wow. I am only now delving into chords that are not simply power chords for the most part, and I am grateful for the thoroughness of the explaination using the theory instead of just shapes. Very nice!! Thank you
Thanks Nick!
Great stuff, thanks.
thanks, your video is very clear, didactic and easy to learn. Greetings from Chile, city of Iquique 👌
This is probably the best and most methodical treatment of this topic I’ve seen, of many. Thank you. Another example from long ago, John zdenver’s “Ladt.”
Thanks Russel! I'll have a listen to "Ladt"
Great simple lesson
Wow what a lesson.
thank you
cool lesson . Thank you so much
Very very good. Thanks from Madrid
Awesome seriously

There are so much interesting videos in your channel that I don't know where to start from

Ik heb veel aan de les gehad bedankt! Lotta work went into this i think :) great vid
Nice explanation.
Owww man this is sick,.. Good bye Chords, Hello Triads haha.. epic explanation/lesson.. I subscribed right away, thanks..
These free videos really help us who can't afford lessons.
Wow this video is amazing. You're a brilliant presenter and artist
Thanks Michael!
You are the best!
Very good Job!! nice video
Love that
Thanks so much
Thank you Samuel
Great video
Thank you.
Fantastic video- those charts are going to help me a lot. But also, I don’t know if it’s the best choice to use that detuned, fuzzy tone for showing people what different voicings of chords sound like. Haha it makes it a little unclear when you’re listening to the same notes in different orders & trying to detect fairly subtle distinctions.
At 11:22 I think the diagram shows ordinary major triads on strings 3,4,5 instead of diminished ones
great man
Super!
Eres muy bueno!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
I've never been more excited to go home and practice my guitar. This was very well done. Thank you.
This is a great channel. I’ll be studying guitar the rest of my life. If you write any books I’d buy them. Thanks
You are truly a master. I am just a lowly grasshopper...
