Boy Brett you look so enthusiastic about this video...lol
I just use a food saver and put it in there works just the same.
Cool innovation for the RC guy/gal that has everything. :)
Awesome! what a fantastic shortcut!! As always great video....thanks!!!
'You can hear the air hissing out' I don't mean to be pedantic but it's actually going in 😂
If you have the time do your diffs/shocks in the evening then in the am there good to go.
You said it right Brent. WHO-DEE. This is a trick accessory but I'll stick with my trusty Tamiya (Tommy-Ugh) shock pump I've had for over a decade lol.
Swing and a miss... twice.
Well that’s fricken cool!
Holy cow expensive i'm happy my Tamiya shock vaccum pump
Could definitely use this for greasing sealed bearings as well.
Love the thumbnail.
This things pretty handy or hudy lol
Pretty cool 👍👍👍👍👍
One would think for the price they are asking for it, it would include a power source. Nice units, but I will keep my money, and do it the same way I have done it for years. I don't see why this is a necessity, if you are a racer you are going to have several sets of shocks, you fill them, let them sit overnight, and no need for one of these.
One would think if your buying Hudy gear you would more likely than not own your own power supply. Why Jack the price up more and include something most of us wouldn't need?
Speak for yourself. Track conditions change so do the outside air temps. With that being said you never know what shock weight you need until a few tests runs. You must have never competed at a higher level where the money pot is worth every edge you can get. Considering it's something you can keep in your toolbox forever it's rather inexpensive
Lol we made a home made one like 4 years ago with a hand held vacuum and a glass cookie jar and duct tape 😉
Yeah, but this one's sexy
Scrolling thru the website for the price is like slowly revealing what card u have on a poker game..😁..Anyway nice review and cool product..works like a cordless vacuum cleaner..
HA! The price is expensive; there is no hiding that.
-Brett
Haha just want to see it’s 2 or 3 digits..going old school is still ok..just smoke one ciggy and that’s it..all bubbles gone..😁
Brilliant hack
For all that $ the damn thing shoulda came with an extra plate or a simple adapter for all shock sizes!!! Come on HUDY step your game up!!!
And at least have a power supply for it as well.
& more space @ the top for big hands & fingers, so the whole thing doesn't topple so easy.
don't you mean, the air hissing in?
Crazy price. Seems cool tho. Think I will just wait. Good video though.
For shocks damper, absolutely... But the differentials, LOL... with in 20 seconds of mashing the heck out of the throttle, that diff fluid will be littered with air bubbles again... unless the unit is 100% filled, and then what... lol... Again, shocks, hell yes!!!!!, Diffs, why bother...
exactly - who is pumping diffs??? there's air in it anyway, hehehehe
Its actually air rushing into the chamber not out when you vent the chamber. The chamber is under vacuum. Neat little toy.
Can you fit 1/5 scale shocks. Like Xmaxx or super rock rey.
No, I think those would be too big. If you made a new post and plate you could probably make them work.
-Brett
I use a coffee bean vacuüm, with a aluminium stand for different sizes shocks. 1/4 of the price of a hudy vacuüm
It's pronounced "way too expensive"
Holy sh*t 155$. I Think i Can wait...
Just saw the price, woah, a little steep. Still a cool idea but pretty easy to make your own with a trip to the pet store and some parts online.
wait....you guys wait???? I just full send on the shocks. (i dont race my slash just bash)
Whoo-Dee!
Can someone that owns this give the actual dimensions of the cutouts in the plate . Not all 1/8 and 1/10 scale shocks are the same diameter.
Could this fit xmaxx shocks?
No, the X-Maxx shocks would be too long to fit.
-Brett
🤙
Emulsion wins championships...
hey brett i have a 4x4 Ecx Ruckus thats getting a A New motor and cooling fan that's going to cool the motor down cause its going to go 50 miles a hour what do you think costing me $200 Dollars is it worth it
What does that have to do with this video?
Sounds pretty awesome man but don't hit yourself going that fast!
-Brett
I think RC companies forget that scale doesn't stop at 1/8th
You did not mention the prize.??
It's $154. USD
Coulda just used a washer to make small shocks fit in that plate
Hi I don’t know if you remeber me I have a question
Yeah, what's up?
-Brett
AMain Hobbies can I put a spectrum battery and esc so I can use the smart battery on a traxxas slash remeber the 130 mph one and plus what is the best off road ties and how do I drift the thing and how do I turn off TSM and plus I mostly buy my things FROM AMAIN
@@r3versekyvak608 A smart ESC should work fine in your Slash, there shouldn't be any compatibility issues other than the battery connector's matching. For your TSM, if it's programmed to your multi-function knob on the transmitter, you can just turn that down. You can also go into transmitter programming (TQi only) and turn TSM off completely that way. For off-road tires, there isn't a "best" tire per se, because the tires are designed to match certain terrain types; which of course varies depending on where you drive and the type of dirt you have available. Here is a list with pictures of tires, let me know if any stand out to you. Also, what type of off-road terrain will you be driving in?
-Brett
AMain Hobbies I am using 17 mm proline blockades I use them for speed runs so I might get the pro line 17mm pre mounted monster slash wheels and @AMain Hobbies I love your vids how do I make a vid like you
AMain Hobbies how do I program it to TSM
Hi
YO BRO SHOP Hello BRO
Great idea. Was going to buy one till I looked at the price. Ridicules. Won’t be getting one.
Could just buy a full set of spare diffs with different fluid instead. Would be cheaper XD
Absolutely. That's what the pros do. A silver Sharpie pen is a great way to mark the diff case, to indicate the fluid weight... in case you forget later.
-Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies yeah, ain't nobody got time to wait for bubbles to come out when you need to swap doff out in 15mins before next race XD

no wonder why this man use a cap on the head all the times

Hudy makes amazing stuff but this just seems like a waste of money unless you build shocks all day.
So I just priced out the parts needed to essentially build this and, no offense meant to this vendor, this is way too expensive. As RC enthusiasts, we're all about making stuff when you can and this is pretty easy to make. :)
to be honest, unless you put your oils in a paint shaker they don't have that amount of air bubbles in them. I think this is kind of a unnecessary product. for me anyway. besides, some shocks are designed to work full of air bubbles. they're called emulsion shocks.
So overpriced
It might be "overpriced", but Hudy products tend to not only be 'high quality', but 'very high quality'. On top of that, using their set-up kits as a perfect example, they are far, far more accurate. The markings on "cheaper" set-up kits were inaccurate, whereas the Hudy kits were spot-on. Finally, while this is far from a "necessity" where shocks are concerned, in regards to diffs, this could prove (not that I own one...yet) to be an outstanding, and functional, 'accessory'.
@@robbryan3044 it's good brand name but it's just how practical to each. Me yeah it's nice but I don't see myself using it but a few time so compared to the price its not that useful in that manner.
@@luisw3406 True, true. I'm 99% certain that they're not targeting this to the "everyday" RC person. You won't find anyone whose vehicle is purely for bashing purchasing this. You'll probably find very few (except for those who just like spending, to show "they own one") whose vehicles spend less that 50% racing & practicing for racing. This is aimed at those whose vehicles spend at least 75% of their time on the track (practicing & racing). Right now, my vehicles don't meet that 'purpose level', which is exactly why I haven't purchased one of these...and, until such time as at least half my vehicles meet said 'purpose level', I'll hold off purchasing one. Those who know this is intended for them (and, again, those who don't mind spending excessively, to "show off", they'll see the advantage, and get one (or all three)...while the rest of us will just enjoy watching the video, and say, "Maybe one day. Maybe. And, then again, maybe not."
@@robbryan3044 true I spend about the same amount of time on track too. But yeah if your spending 75%or more on track it would be very practical it saves time 👍. But me I still would rather spend that amount of $ on tires or other upgrades personally but to each there own taste.
