You Hear People

Utilizing photography, field recordings and interviews to immerse the viewer into the locations being explored, this project describes and comments on the changes seen within Liverpool's rapidly redeveloping waterside areas in the last four decades. Through conducting interviews with a local who has for the last sixty years lived in the area, such changes are examined and their impacts upon the historically rich area are described, focusing primarily on the Pier Head ferry terminal and the Albert Docks. Directed, photographed, recorded and edited by myself between March and May of 2023 as an assessed piece for an MA in Visual Anthropology at the University of Manchester.
