The second practitioner was really smart to keep the meditation super brief, she probably detected how Alexa could be an overthinker and could have gotten anxiety instead of relaxation out of a creative tm. She got me completely hooked and then she rewarded me for doing a great job. I'm going to do this on my students every time. This is how someone wants to feel when they try something new. So glad I came by, as usual.
Alexa is a type of person which you havent met and probably never will, but you admire her, and treating like a friend!
When you lack sleep, it will be hard for you to self-regulate to emotions.

I'm constantly thinking about the future. Mostly just imaging unrealistic expectations of the future. Like today's daydream was that I became Will Smith's production manager and that job lead to me being beat friends with Jaden Smith. And well if I was on my way to achieving such lofty goals as being the production manager of one of the biggest stars in the world it wouldn't be a big deal. But I and no wear close to that so it just leads to me feeling bad about myself 🙃

I taught myself meditation in my early twenties and hardly ever have things on my mind when it is time to sleep. What I would like is for meditation to keep the dreams away.

i'm so lucky that my school has a mindspa that has a massage chair, yoga mat, essential oils, and that metal bowl that makes soothing sounds
As a teacher I wish we had a room like that at my college. I would love to do this with my students. We did aromatherapy, massage and mindfulness though. So important.
