I can’t believe you didn’t prime first…but what I can’t believe more is you didn’t move the hutch before painting! Wow. 😮
I love love how this room turned out! There’s only one tiny suggestion I have, the inside of your hutch doors, I believe it will look so much better if you paint them. Because to me it will look more finished, it won’t look like a DIY . Just a thought. But I adore your style! Bravo!!!

Totally agree the prep work is the most important thing. Totally cleaning removing all hardware and finished inside and out. Love the room looks lovely. 😊
A little tip for you is to take regular clear scotch tape and tape the back of the plates to the backing of the hutch (where the base of the plate meets the backing). It works wonders when you have kids running around and doesn't damage the plates either!
I agree that the light fixture should be moved in the same direction as the table. A rug would make the room absolutely perfect. So beautiful!

When I saw the darker color for your hutch I started to change the channel and look for my beloved white. For some reason I didn’t. Here’s my conclusion. It’s absolutely beautiful. Your color choices are amazing as is the decorating of the hutch. Just beautiful. The whole room.

May I suggest removing the glass and using chickenwire! I did this with a thrifted " queen ann" style hutch in cherry.... repainted added chicken wire and WOW. Everyone has loved this idea

Also, I can’t wait to see you decorate the hutch for Halloween, Thanksgiving and especially Christmas 😍. You should have Thomas put some lights inside the hutch! Or just use some strip lights. It would look so good with some soft lighting at night. Oh the possibility’s are endless! LoL

I love how calming this space is. I love the floor and rugs under a table get so dirty. I like the way you have it. I would love to see that hutch lit with some lighting. I love the two tone as well..leaves a bit of history of what it used to be..fabulous find for $100.00.
I a little enviously how well you paint. I'd have this pulled to the garage non a drop cloth and cleaned down and sanded. So does that paint not require this prep? I will watch again if so. My experience with chalk paint was not good (Dixie belle) it is a nightmare to work with.

I just can’t decide if I want one with doors or no doors. 🤔 So I quit looking, and then I go to someone’s house that has one and I start looking again. 😆 I’d love to know what drew you to a hutch with doors because maybe you’ve thought of something I haven’t. 😊
I’ve was so back and forth on doors as well!! I see so many I love without any! I saw one on Pinterest with doors and thought “ok I think I like that style.” And then found this on FB marketplace the next day!🙌🏻

One 16 oz jar! I was able to do 2 coats with it! If I had painted the inside though I would have definitely needed the larger size!
