He!lo, why is everyone saying this situation needs to be stopped, it has stooped, for over 30 years. This was filmed in the 70's, so it's history. I do not have any idea what happened to the chimp, whatever happened, I'm guessing that it did not turn out great for him.
tragedy will happen someday and the chimp will be at fault and killed. but stupidity is not a crime and the family will not have to accept responsibility. wild animals are not pets!!
Mike Cisarik the real tragedy already has (assuming this baby was acquired the usual way- adults killed in front of him/her), and of course the fact that it was ripped from its home. I'm guilty of loving chimps too, but I get so sad! How is it that nobody is thinking about what's right for the chimps life? At least they don't have it in a cage, or on a chain... yet.
