If a strong adult hit a chimp in the head with a slug hammer it would probably die. Then there's no more monkeys jumping on the bed.

Back then in gen ppl did not know what can hapoen and what it means for the chimp. Olas was actually placed in a cage in a dark damp basement and nevef interacted with. The family raised funds and tried a legsl case to gain control so he could have proper care. But were never successful or allowed to see him again.
