      Literally, alls i do is fold the strap in half 4 times, then tie the loops in an overhand knot. Its a nice bundle and takes a hell of a lot less time to wind/unwind

      Depends on your job or what you are doing. Much safer to throw the free end of the strap vs the hook or the whole rachet and hook.

    Nice idea also dangerous when you throw the strap over your load i always leave the hook on the outside a strap don't damage a car as bad as the hook

      I dunno why everyone is hating, acting like they are too good for it. Commercial drivers are using big 2-3 inch straps anyway. For the small straps this is perfect. I don’t haul stuff on a daily basis but want straps in my truck at all times, how long does it really take to do this? 15-20 seconds? I think it’s perfect to keep my truck

    this is quite useful, got them 2 inch ratchet straps and i hate them always falling apart when you spend the time to roll them up. being that i rarely use them but have to have them imma do this

      Just bundle them up enough to fit in a beer coozie. I have too damn many and it's a perfect use.

      There are rubber bands that truck stops and any tarp/securement shop sell that are used to keep them rolled if you wish. If its the center that falls out, you just need to roll them tighter weather your hand rolling or using a strap winder.

    I feel like it takes the same amount of time to untangle them vs wrapping nicely. Now I just seperate strap and ratchet then throw in 10 gallon bucket. Have about 40 of em this way😅

      @@sebastianusami tools are not people. tools are an item to make money. every chop saw table saw strap nail gun etc is all crap made in china.. my dewalt chop saw is a throw away item. my makita battery tools are throw away items...so are my straps.
      building homes in PNW in the rain and mud doesn't require pride in my tools...maybe for a cabinet guy or something you can be slow and anal. not when you are working outside competing against immigrant labor...just saying

    That is nice but when I throw the wrapped end over my load, the hook is going to hit the side of my truck or my helpers head. Always wrap from the bare end. Much safer. Watch truckers do that on their big straps.

      Same, but I stick the whole bundle in a beer coozie, because people give them out for everything and I have too many. Then all the straps in their beer coozies go in a big plastic bag so they all stay bundled and zero tangles.

    That's good if you only have two or three ratchet straps in your vehicle just in case anybody use them once a month or once every couple months if not I would suggest a footlong place of velcro stick around there from their ego some small industrial rubber bands

    I do something similar only dont olay with tails and all that just wrap the ratchet around the strap then hook the ratchet and hook works just as good and way quicker to wrap and unwrap

    Just lap around the longest strap and tie it together with paracord via a Canadian jam knot. Just store the two together and put together when you need it.
