Billions of dollars going to Ukrainian oligarchs certainly was not the truth . New and surplus US weapons sent to Ukraine are being used to defend the country , not to prop up wealthy businessmen . Ukraine does account for every dollar sent to them - If it did not account for those funds their entire system of government would have collapsed by now . Some republicans have no idea what Putin is capable of , he is no friend of the US , his government is considerably more corrupt than Ukraine , but nobody highlights that fact . Ukraine is hell bent on stamping out internal corruption in order to meet requirements to join the EU . Russia on the other hand will never want that to happen as it leaves them exposed as the most corrupt nation in Europe by far . And some Republicans want Russia to keep sovereign Ukrainian territory to end the war - Ukraine won't accept such an arrangement , the Russians will not stop until all of Ukraine is controlled from Moscow . Do you really we want millions of Ukrainian's dying and suffering and fleeing across the borders to escape Russian tyranny should they defeat Ukraine ? At least with the Mexican border the US is not fighting a military . It's a difficult situation to deal with there , but it does not compare with all out war .

A) building the wall (despite democrat obstruction for a policy he clearly had a mandate for),
B) placing tariffs on imports from China and others which only brought these tariffs up to a point approximating those China had already put in place on US exports to China,
C) for every federal regulation (red tape) Trump's federal office put in place he cancelled three, thus making establishing and growing businesses easier, and thus making it easier for manufacturing and other services industries to employ people.
Controlling the illegal immigration meant less undocumented workers lining up for the same farming and various labouring jobs, and this meant that as job vacancies fell, without raising the minimum wage, real wages went up, as employers had to offer more money to get (and keep) useful staff.
The tariffs against China encouraged many Ametican manufacturing firms to bring their facturing home given the more level playing field.

Actually, they really aren't. Ukrainian oligarchs have been trying their best to cede power in order to cash out their illegal business. This is often how democracies form in modern times, the situation is identical to the one in South Korea and Japan. A big reason for the war was that Putin really wanted to install a puppet authoritarian figure. I think this shows that ones certain factors are in motion, you can't stop what happens unless you try to destroy the country.
